my daughter loves this school. The teachers are really on top of materials and I thing they teach above the standards which is a good thing. I periodically get reminders about school events and meetings and this shows the school really pushes parent involvement. This school like most of all Salina's schools is overcrowded one of my kids got sent to another districts school which only makes it tougher for me in the mornings.

Teachers are very involved with after school programs such as sports, tutoring, visual arts. Some programs end at 6pm and they provide snack, great for working parents.

Dr. Oscar F. Loya Elementary School is in the process of updating its Site Plan for Student Achievement. School is working hard to include a parent involvement plan in its plan for the following year. Loya Elementary would welcome any parent input to increase the parental involvement in the school.
