I have three children currently enrolled at Echo Valley. I have been very pleased with my childrens teachers. The school has gone through alot of administrative and teacher turn over the last few years. The teaching staff seems to be able to hold the school together well.

Excellent School! Has a very small town feel. The Principal and Teachers all work with the parents to provide open communication. The principal is Excellent!

Not happy with the principle of the school at this moment, the school is going down hill fast. Parent involvement is great and there are too many new teachers to rate at this time.

This is my 5th year at this school. I now have only 2 children there since one is in middle school. The teachers have all been fantastic. I couldn't ask for better. The principal has a lot of learning to do, she needs to learn how to interact with children and communicate with parents. The PTG is good with only a few parents pulling the large load. This is because they do not accommodate the working parent. Most parents can't go to 3:30 meetings. I feel if they are not willing to accommodate the working parent then they should expect to do everything themselves. The school has gone way downhill this last year. I would not recommend this school in this district that covers up all real problems.

Echo Valley has not been a good school for my children. The only parental involvement we have is a few select parents who do most everything. I would never reccommend this school.

This school has been a wonderful choice for my kindergartner. He is there until 2:35 instead of only a half day. They make sure to provide breakfast each morning, plenty of recess time and affordable lunches. His teacher is very organized and consistent. I love how attentive she is to the needs of each student. They have weekly jobs, reading, math, writing in journals, and much more. The teacher is great at coaching behavioral skills, and she is great at getting the children to pay attention. There is lots of participation and support. I'm very pleased.

This school provides only the most basic elements needed in CA schools. The only focus is on those subjects that are being tested by the SAT. The student population requires a huge focus on those kids are the lowest ability level. There is also an ELD issue. There is little to no enrichment activities. Whatever happened to music, art, teacher's aides, and actual PE teachers?

Strong PTG group. Parents actively involved in the school. First class teachers who care about the kids and their progress. New principal this year is a little difficult, coming from a middle school, she needs to lose the middle school mentality and treat these kids like the children that they are. It's difficult to encourage the community of caring values when they aren't seeing it displayed by the leader of the school. Hopefully she will get a clue and start thinking like an elementary school principal, and respecting the kids. If she gives respect, she may just get some back in return.
