My main complaint about this school is the lack of extracurricular activites. There are only 2 that I know of and my daughter signed up for both on the first day and was told there was a waiting list. She wants to participate and learn new things but there are no opportunities There are also only 4 or 5 members on the PTO, for a good size school like this, that is sad. The teachers are great though and Mr. Bradley is wonderfull, sad to see him go.

This is a wonderful school! Knowing that the principal once attended this school and returned as an administrator really says a lot. The teachers for the most part, are phenomental. I love the cultural diversity of this school. I think it accurately depicts Salinas' diversity as a whole. The lessons are wonderful. I wish there were more extracurricular activities such as field trips-and more parental involvement. The PTA should have their meetings later in the day to allow for parents that work until 5 to attend. If they do have meetings later, they need to be more proactive in letting parents know. Love the 'Parent Patrol' Kudos to El Gabilan!

I am at this school all the time. My kids have attended it for 6 years. I help out all I can but I noticed that there isn't too much parent involved. When I do help out I do hear that parents have volunteered to help but never seem to show up. I think the PTO has done a good job raising money for the school and the childrens activites.

Our son has only been attending this school for two years, and we must say our experiences with the teachers and staff has been phenominal! Our son has learned so much from his teachers and is continuously polishing his academic skills. Our main concern is the lack of parental involvement that is wanted from the school. We have signed up and offered our help last year as well as this year. We have not heard anything from the people who were in charge of the fundraiser or the Fall Festival. Perhaps a note or a phone call should have been made stating that extra parental help was not needed.

Teachers are good, but do not have enough time to deal with all learning issues, hence some children fall through the cracks.
