I have to say I am not very pleased with this school. We sent our son there last year for the 7th grade, we liked uniforms and the focus on public safety. We like charter schools, because we have our youngest in one, and he has done very well. The focus on Police and Fire Fighters is what attracted us to this school, and also how they would teach respect and discipline. Unfortunately they are lacking in the education department, I was amazed how my 3rd grader would have more homework nightly then my, now, 8th grader. Needless to say, we are going to send him to our home school, which has very high test scores.

This school does not adequately prepare students for college. I wish I would have realized the low standards this school requires to get an "A" before sending my child here. Parents, make sure to ask alot of questions before enrolling your child. Example: What is your teacher attrition rate? How many new teachers do you have on staff? Are teachers required to have visable lesson plans.

My daughter is a straight A student at PSA, and I can hardly wait to get her little brother there. Great experiences, great eduation, lessons in real life, learning character and morals....simply the best.

My little Brother atteneds 'PSA', as the students call it, and he has never been happier about going to school. His grades have improved, he has more school sprit, and has improved as an over all person. The school focuses on teaching it students to have character along with the actual education. They do not have P.E. but they do have P.T. which is alot more active. I feel so comfortable sending my little brother to this school, he feels extermly safe in its family atmosphere. The Public Saftey Academy is the most incredible school I have ever seen, I am very greatful that my brother has the opertunity to attend such a speacial school!

This is a school where unlike other schools the children learn respect, discipline and more important, the ability to be leaders in our society.I think that if all schools could be like PSA we would be truly investing in the success of our children and not just giving lip service to it.

I wish all schools were like Public Safety Academy, the opportunities are endless, the teachers and staff really care about the students. I love this school, the cadets take home more than great academics, they really learn about character and ethics and that is something that is so lost in this society. The results for grade 10 students taking the test for the first time are displayed on GreatSchools profiles. The CAHSEE is a standards-based test, which means it measures how well students are mastering specific skills defined by the state of California. Students must pass all parts of the CAHSEE in order to graduate from high school. If they do not pass it the first time, students have multiple opportunities to retake the test. The goal is for all students to pass both sections of the test.
The different student groups are identified by the California Department of Education; if there are fewer than 10 students in a particular group in a school, the state doesn't report data for that group.
