San Bernardino City Unified

Know your school choice options in the San Bernardino City Unified School District.

In the San Bernardino City Unified School District (SBCUSD), students are assigned to schools based on residence; elementary school students may attend other schools in the district (called intradistrict choice). Children may also attend charter schools. Magnet schools are available for elementary and middle school students, and high schoolers can participate in International Baccalaureate (IB) programs.

Under the federal No Child Left Behind law, students attending a Title I school designated as "in need of improvement" have the right to attend a higher-performing school in the district.
