I am very impressed with Ms. Natalie Sheridan's, principal, ability to remember my daughter's name. The parents and faculty work together to be a great school. We take pride in working together! We love Crestmoor Elementary School.
In all the years I've been teaching Ms. Sheridan seems to be the most accepting of all students. She does not discriminate nor does she treat those kids receiving special services as a thorn in her side. I believe she truely is in this for the kids.
If you are a young parent and are looking for schools in the San Bruno area, look no more. My oldest boy, now in middle school with a few B's and the rest A's, misses Crestmoor a ton. A teenager that is respectful, likes his new school and truly misses his elementary school. Amazing. My youngest also started at Crestmoor and is now in fourth grade there. This school has it all: academics, family, safe environment and OUTSTANDING educators. This is my eighth year as a Crestmoor student's father and I feel so fortunate to have had my kids go to such a special school.
Our family feels very fortunate to be part of the wonderful community at this school. Teachers, staff and parents all work together to create an exceptional learning environment for the students. Our children are safe, happy and really like coming to school. There's no place like Crestmoor!
Our family has two children at Crestmoor. Its community gives my family a sense of harmony. The environment that Crestmoor evokes is one that is a bygone in today s society. My kids look forward to going to school everyday. Daily they enter the grounds to a principal who with a smile welcomes each and everyone one of them by name. The teachers, staff and parents work very hard to ensure that these children are in a safe and secure environment where learning is paramount. It is a privilege to have my kids in an environment where everyone involved cares about your children as much as you do.
We love Crestmoor School. It is a small school with a strong sense of community. There is a lot of parent involvement, and we have met so many nice families. The students are fortunate to participate in a Character Education Program, P.E. twice a week, music instruction and the Art in Action Program in addition to the challenging academic standards provided by their teachers. (Most 1st graders are reading chapter books.) Afternoon recess is filled with choices of activities for the students to participate in like Newsletter Club, Newcomb, Basketball Club, Mileage Club, Boardgame Club and Biology Club where my children actually got to touch a human heart and lung. Most of these activities are run by parent volunteers. My family is very supportive of having Crestmoor become a K - 8 school and hope that the school board will vote to approve this in the near future.
Small community with high motivation to help their children succeed.
Crestmoor is not just a school, it is a community. Belonging to this community is a way of life. Our kids like to go to school in the morning and they look forward to it when they are on vacation.
Three of our children have gone through Crestmoor and I have to say it has been a pleasure dealing with parents & staff. We moved into this neighborhood just so we could send our kids here. The best school in San Bruno and possibly the peninsula.
Our family loves Crestmoor! The principal, teachers and staff go above and beyond to make our school a comfortable, challenging and rewarding environment. We love everything about it!
Crestmoor is a great school! The principal & teachers are easily accessible & they genuinely care about the students.
The principal, teachers and staff really care about our children. They take the time to learn about each child. I have been a parent at Crestmoor for about nine years and I have been very happy. We are fortunate to have such a dedicated staff at Crestmoor and the support from the families is wonderful.
Crestmoor Elementary is a fantastic school. The academics are taught very well. Staff and principal are excellent. Parent involvement is great. I have had a child graduate from there as well as one still there. I wish all school could have the feel of Crestmoor Elementary.
Crestmoor Elementary is a superb school! The entire staff is professional and continually strives to improve the quality of the school and its students. Crestmoor has the feel of a small, supportive community and has tremendous parent support. I would love if this school would continue to grow to 8th grade. They are raising truly amazing young adults! Crestmoor teachers take the high quality academic program and are able to guide students in becoming very successful pupils. I feel at home there!
Crestmoor's academic programs are very good. Our teachers are dedicated they work well with the students and also with the other teachers. We have a PE teacher 2 times a week. The children love him. I would love to see the PE program extended. Parent involvement is extra-ordinary. It is the kind of involvement you would normally see at a private school.
Crestmoor is absolutely the best school is San Bruno. The small community feel, the active PTA and the great teachers make it a great place to send your child. The teachers take time with all the children and get to know the families. We are so happy that our children attend Crestmoor and will be sad to send them on to middle school.
Crestmoor is a fabulous school. If I moved out of San Bruno I would still try and keep my child at Crestmoor because I really believe it is one of the best elementary schools on the Peninsula. It has a warm friendly feel all around. The staff is kind and supportive, the parents are warm and inviting and my children have thrived in the school environment.
