I happen to work at this school and LOVE IT!!!!! Everyone is entitled to their opinion, however we must all take responsibility for writing "factual facts". Our Principal is a very caring and nuturing leader and cares not only for our students and staff but also for the community. She goes above and beyond the call of duty on a daily basis. I hope that you can all read between the lines from the disgruntled comments and know there is always two sides to a story. We are proud and honored to work with our military families daily. We do our best to meet the needs of all, however we will never satisfy everyone. I look forward to meeting and greeting our new families that move here and welcome you to tour our campus and meet our fantastic staff that does include some of our military moms. How cool is it for them to be able to work at their childs school? We think its awesome! I would think the smiles you see and the laughter you hear from our students and staff would convince you too what a great school we have here!

This is the worst school my children have ever been to. We moved on base from town due to me thinking that Oceanside schools were bad. This school is currently being ran by a principal that has no idea what she is doing. My daughter's life was threatened here by a known girl with several mental problems and they never removed her from the general population. They have no sensitivity for the military child or family. I was better off in Oceanside and regret moving on base. This school has more neighborhod moms running it then actual staff....half of them are a nightmare to deal with. I have one child in 3rd and the other in 8th and certainly discovered the grass is NOT greener on the other side.

We love SOS, This ia great School my children enjoyed going there this past school year. We had exelent teachers and the kids love them. Lots of activities trough the year, festivals, social days, musicals, theatre etc. We were supposed to move this summer but we decide to stay in the area just because our kids were sad to leave this school!!

I love San Onofre School! It breaks my heart to be leaving San O! I have proudly called San Onofre School home for three years and my children have thrived here. The principal is energetic and alwyas there for kids and parents alike. The quality of education is exceptional. I have a special needs child who was treated superbly at San Onofre. You'll love this school, we are sorry to be moving.

It is unfornate that I must say that I do not wish anyones kid to this school. The staff is consisted of either tenor teachers who do not care of the life or stress of a military child nor great educators or new teacher who have yet to find their rhythm. There are few exceptional teachers in the grades but you very lucky if your child is able to get them that year. If you have a special needs child do not put your child in this school! They do not by any means have the staff to assist your child/ or means. The aides in the classrooms are moms from the neighborhood who only hold mim. associate degree/competency testing. And it does not have to be in special education. They supposed trained by special education teacher and school psychologist on childsBIP and IEP. There is a EFMP attorney that can help you on mainside should you find out for yourself. The adminstration at this school is condescending but will smile every time they see you. Don't expect great leadership there. Positive note the PTA is great raising money for field trips and school functions.

The teachers here are amazing and strive for the best for the children. they encourage and make educational field trips and praise them. they are so supportive when the parents deploy and help children cope along with learning more than the grade requirements. amazing!

I spend a lot of time at the school, so I see more than the average parent. They have several classrooms available if your child has special needs. They are the only one in the area. The teachers/staff do their best to get problems resolved without always having the Principal or VP involved. I have 3 children that attend here. They are happy there.
