King Chavez High School is a fantastic school. I currently have one of their students interning at my learning center. King Chavez High School is doing a great job by exposing their students to the real world of working. My intern comes in everyday and is ready to help out any which way she can. She has a great attitude and is always well prepared. I am extremely impressed by the way King Chavez High School is preparing their students for the real world. The internship program is something other schools need to adopt as it helps students learn hard work, time management, and responsibility. These are traits many high school students are lacking.

I know several of the teachers and staff members at King-Chavez High School personally. I know their dedication to their students and to providing a safe a caring enviornment for the kids. This is a school that I would highly recommend to anyone who wants to make sure their children are well-educated, apply for college, and have the support they will need to be successful in the future. The internship program is truly amazing and it is changing students' lives. There is really nothing negative I can say about this school.

I just wanted to respond to the very negative review above. First of all there is no way that this school is on purpose 'stealing' kids from IS or anywhere else. Enrollment is looked after by the office staff who are lovely people Ms Martinez and Genis who care alot for the kids. My son is happy there after a rough time at san diego high where he felt no one cared about him. King chavez don't need to be stealing no students. They are working my son hard, andhe comes home smiling! watch their test scores go up this year is my prediction

Mr. Hubbs is doing a great job with the kids, the staff cares about their students. Is a small group of kids so the transition from middle school to High school is easier to the children. This school is family and community oriented, love their zero tolerance to any type of hostile acts. Only if they could have a bigger facility to provide the students better learning environment and more art classes. Keep it up guys, your hard work is much appreciated!

I registered my daughter in this school and IS ( International Studies), My daughter was accepted to both schools, and of course IS is better so immediately we informed King Chavez that she would be attending a different school. King Chavez called twice and we verified and informed them that my daughter was NO longer attending King Chavez. They even asked us what school is she going to so we answered IS.. Today 8-26-11 is IS confirmation of students. AND THEY INFORMED US THAT;; She is not registered on that school BECAUSE king chavez have her in the system as her student. This is unacceptable!! I am strongly disappointed at their management, even though we informed them that she was not going there, they still call IS to told them that my daughter was going to their school (king chavez) So now she is force to attend King Chavez. They obiously need students and the only way to get them is by steealing their information, that why they ask what school is she going to ..so that they could call them and told them that no that students is going to our school then the other school drops your son/daughter then you have no option than to go to King chavez shame on them
