Angier Elementary has an amazing principal. He is proactive for the children and their well being. He strives over and beyond for them and their families. He is constantly looking for new ways to improve and enrich the school as a whole.

My son and daughter have been students in Angier school for about 2 years y they are really happy, they have a lot of friends. As also this school has great and wonderful Teachers. Teachers who really care for students and they help them if they need some help. My children immigrated from a country where the people speaks spanish and they have learned English so fast because this school has good Teachers.

This school is awesome!!! All the teachers 'REALLY CARE' about their students. We have been everywhere in the US Navy and we were welcomed and my child feels proud to be a student here. The Principal Ms. Shaw is great ! Your child will be happy here.

The Principal is dedicated and takes important steps towards improving the school. Already since she arrived there, a safety patrol program has been put in place, a cross-walk has been installed for improved safety, a site-wide behavior plan has been created and implemented, the AVID program has been implemented, etc. All of this has been encouraged and supported by the current principal. The school also has a GATE program that has been consistently growing. The school works closely with the surrounding military housing office and support staff to support students and families.

This year 2006-2007, they changed principals. Not a very warm or accessible person at all. I would check on who the principal is in following years before I consider this school. After three years we are taking our kids out because of the change.

Military houseing was open right next to school and so many student enrolled in one time, it seens like this school dosen't prepare enough teacher or program for english learner student or special education student. I'm dissapointed

I would say this school is great. I am not much of a writer but i can tell you my daughter is thrilled with the school. Its diverse and exciting. The staff and parents work well with each other.

As in any school, there are great teachers and those you would rather not have to deal with. Our family has been at Angier for 4 years and have found the school to be quite supportive. The principal is a great guy whom the children love and is accessible to the parents at any time. The facilities are old as with all SD public schools but with a new library and playground equipment, it's improving. Class sizes are relatively small and children get decent attention from the teachers. Population is mostly military children due to it's location however, it's because of this that makes it a good school for military children. They have a good support system within the teacher's who understand the stress that comes from being a military child.
