Clay doesn't look like much from the outside, but don't be fooled! The principal is a wonderful woman and truly cares about the school, staff, students, parents, and families. You can always find her out walking around on campus, and she always has time to say hi to all the parents. The teachers all go the extra mile to do special activities with the children as well. My child has excelled at Clay and is reading at a higher level than most other children his age. He is also excelling in math. I've never seen more active classrooms! The parents also help make Clay what it is. A large percentage of parents contribute to the magic of the school through many different activities. We just had a huge turnout for the Halloween carnival this year, and all of the parents are social and friendly with each other. I wouldn't take my 2nd grader anywhere else!

Please allow me introduce to you Henry Clay Elementary School. A little school with a big heart! Henry Clay is a global community with children from all over the world, and we treasure its rich diversity and culture. This school truly is Rolando Villages "Hidden" Gem. Many locals have NO IDEA what amazing things go on inside the schools boring exterior. Don't be fooled, the magic all happens inside! Ask around our district, and you will find that we have one of the BEST Principals around San Diego! She is loved by our Parents, staff, Teachers, and most importantly our children! They adore her! Our teachers are experienced, and we have many retired teachers who volunteer in our classes. This year we are proud to be partnering up with SDSU's Education Dept. as they will be providing additional support for our teachers. Clay is great, but come visit us & see!
