There is a focus on learning here that makes the students so ready for middle school. They are rewarded for doing well and the whole school is involvedin helping student attendance and student behavior. I have seen my kids scores go up every year and I am so proud of the work the teachers have helped my children to do. In First grade they both have reading help and it has been one of the reasons they do so well now. Parents don't have to ask for this. The school is so good about finding what the kids need to do better and then making it happen.

The language program is all English with some Spanish Support. It is hard for new English speakers, but there is a regular series of teachers who help students everyday, not just the classroom teacher. Reading help is the best, and some students get this extra help 3 times a day in reading and writing. It makes such a big difference in what students can do by the end of the grade. There is no program for art or music, and sports are only with the teachers in the grades. That should be different, but the school puts most of the effort onto reading and writing and math. The science teacher/class is fun for the kids, and the computer program is the best! P.P. Bills

I am very concerned about the upkeep of this school. The landscaping is awful and the school looks deserted in a way, even though students attend there. This school needs some color, some cleaning around the grounds inside and out.

My son went to to this school for 6 years. The teachers are wonderful. Mrs. Mowat is so totally awesome. Thank-you Mrs. Mowat.
