The staff and teachers are really kind and patient with all the kids. They command respect, but show understanding. Individually Janya Schlottman was an excellent first grade teacher for our daughter. Highly recommend Perry Elementary.

The First Grade and Physical Education teachers at this school are great at getting the students' attention and keeping it. They are extremely patient and kind. From what I've seen, all Perry staff exude an air of kindness, patience, and understanding. Overall, great school. We're sad to be moving away.

I have two children who have attended Perry (one is still there) and they have both excelled academically and socially. We have a new Principal who listens to parents, teachers and students alike with complete fairness and respect. She is a wonderful asset to our school community and we hope she stays forever!! We have an very active PTA and they organize a lot of extra-curricular activities that the students love and look forward to throughout the year. The PTA funds VAPA (Visual and Performing Arts) and this year alone the children have enjoyed art, dance and drums. We have a running club at the school that has recently added computer scanning and monitoring. The parents can check at home on their computers to see how far their children are running in the mornings and on break (this is not mandatory, but the kids love it). The teachers go above and beyond to assist every child on their learning journey. This school is the perfect beginning to that journey and the children can leave Perry knowing that they are well equipped with the knowledge they need to succeed at Middle School and beyond.

Whom ever in the reviews below is commenting the principle is rude or disrespectful is mistaken. Mrs. Austin has been nothing but kind and polite ever time we've spoken. She guinuinly seems to care for each student and atempts to know thier individual needs. I dare any of the comenting parents to assume her job for a week and then make those remarks. Maybe the child below who came home hungry possibly decided to play instead of eat during the lunch time. Point being, the staff in the public school system are bombarded with critics and not enough support. The school is fairly small and has a dicient ethnic mix, due to the military housing in the area. Also compare the test scores to the schools of the sournding area.

I have four children, the oldest in now in high school and the middle child is now in middle school, but all of my children went and still are curently going to this school..starting from kinder. The new principal is great, and dont play, she is what that school needed for a while now...she got those test score up and the children to respect others, some of the parents need to learn that as well. I will recommend this school to all who whats tha best for there child.

Have 3 children here and have found the school degrading in every way. PTA funds the music teacher, classes are crowded and they are bringing in more next year. Most classes over 3rd grade are 30+. School has some great teachers, but others are questionable. The school sits on a dirt lot and haven't seen any attempt to increase the schools appearance. We are only here because we live a block away.

I love this school. I have a child with special needs and this school provide what my son needed and the teachers are great! The location is awesome because it is in a military housing and it is safe. Not a busy street for the school, not too much car that passes by.

I Love this school. This was my sons first school and I couldn't have asked for a better one for him to attend. The principal is always around, she is very hands on and involved in the school never knowing where shes going to be because shes always in and out of classes making sure the school is running smoothly. The Teachers are excellent and very caring towards the students and parents. The academics are great. There is alot of parent involvement in the school which is always a plus.
