Both of my children have attended this school and both their experiences have been positive. When there have been problems, I have always found everyone involved willing to work together towards a solution.
Love, love, love this school and am sad my kids have finished elementary. The seminar program is great, the teacher is top notch. We'll miss Tierrasanta Elementary!
The Special Education Department is lacking in knowledge of disabilities. The teachers in this area are not willing to learn new ways of thinking. The teachers are caring. Just believe [they] are stuck in a rut and the principal is not able to fix it herself. I would not recommend this school for children with LD/ED issues. Music and art programs are good.
Solid K program with great teachers, plenty of math, science, music and other 'outside the classroom activities. School is set up less like an elementary school than a small high school campus with kids going outside the building to get to the restroom, lunch, other classroom (music, etc).
I feel the academic program is great but at times seems to be too much (1st grade). Parent involvement is high.
The teachers really care about their kids and go out of their way to promote creativity. The principal can be a bit harsh, though. She could work more on her bedside manner.
Being part of this school has been a great learning experience. Teachers here are very serious about their job and are really dedicated to their students. At times it seemed tough for me and my eight year old who's in 3rd grade, but her teacher was very willing to work with me and my daughter to make our lives a little less stressful.
Very good school. Teachers helpful and communicate well with parents.
This is a very nice and safe school. Parents are very involved, the learning environment is excellent. The test scores are high.
Too much home work for the 1st - 3rd grades. Let's get this done in the classroom.
