I've had three children graduate from St. Charles. All three still keep in touch with their SCCS friends as the bond they have will, I'm sure, last a lifetime. They have all taken different paths throughout high school and now even college, but the one thing they all have in common is the strong faith and academic foundation set by this school. It's amazing and we feel truly blessed to have been part of this school. I would highly recommend St. Charles to anyone who's priority is to send their children to a school that has a great academic curriculum and teachers that care about every single student.
I am an alumnus of St. Charles Catholic School. I was lucky enough to attend kindergarten and stay until 8th grade graduation. When looking at schools for my children, none had a feeling of a second home and excellence in education. I knew that I was making a decision that would help mold my children into intelligent, confident and proud Catholics that I want them to be. We visited SCCS campus and I knew that this is where I wanted my kids to spend the next 9 years of their lives. It was the best decision that I have ever made in regards to their education, both academically and spiritually.

I am proud to say I am a Spartan Alumnus. This is the second year I have sent my children to St. Charles and I we are blessed to be here. I have experienced both public and private schools and can honestly say there is a huge difference between the two. My concern with the public school system was the type of learning environment created and exposure to unfavorable influences. St. Charles is the answer to this problem. The staff create a warm and spiritual learning atmosphere. The teachers take a genuine interest in the success of each student. They welcome parent involvement and encourage participation with the school through many different fun events, which allows parents to get to know each other and the children time outside of school to play with their friends, while at the same time supporting the school. It is true that it is a sacrifice to pay tuition, but it is well worth the investment in your child's success.

Our children have attended Saint Charles Catholic School since Spring of 2007, making the switch during the middle of school year, I feared the kids weren't going to make the transition smoothly academically and socially, I was dead wrong, the staff and attending families were welcoming and helpful. My childrens faith and individual inner strength has grown tremendously!!!!! It is a financial sacrifice for our family, but we believe this is the best sacrifice we have ever made!!!! Quality education along with ability to grow spiritually, a parent couldn't ask for anything better!!!

I am not only the parent of a student at St. Charles, but also an alum. The schools Catholic and family values have been a staple for years. The schools allows for a learning environment in a manner that is both structured, but friendly and welcoming.

I am an alumnus of St.. Charles. When I enrolled my children at this school, I hoped they would have the same great experience that I did. I am happy to say that they did. They are now alumni of the school and have gone on to high school and college. They were well prepared for the higher education that was in store for them, understand the importance of their Catholic values and are very respectful to those around them. As a parent you strive to do the right thing for your children. This decision was a definite "feather in my cap". Im sure when the time comes for them to be parents, St.. Charles will be on their school list.

After my sons first year (Pre-Kindergarten) at St. Charles Catholic School, I am 100% confident that I made the right decision. The staff, students and parents are like family. My son loves his school and there is a sense of pride among students and alumni. The academic, faith and technology that students are learning sets them aside from others. I have received compliments on my sons manners, respect for others and willingness to help. It is great to have the morals taught at home also taught at school. As a signal parent who is making the financial sacrifice I know this is a great investment in my sons future.

My husband and I knew that we wanted a Catholic School education for our daughter. We not only wanted her to have the academnic advantage we believe comes from a Catholic School education, we also wanted her to be in an environment that celebrated her faith. After looking and touring a couple of Catholic Schools in San Diego we chose St. Charles. They had all of the components that make a great Catholic School, focus on our faith, academic excellence, technology, encrichment programs, but what sold us in the end was the great teachers and the welcoming and supportive school community. My daughter is a happy, thriving and loves her school! Can't ask for more than that!

Both my childred graduated from St. Charles Catholic School; they attended St. Charles from Kindergarten through 8th grade and I'm very happy with the results: they are both responsible, hard working, well mannered young adults. It was not easy financially; in fact, it was a great sacrifice, but my husband and I decided that paying for a catholic education was the right decision even if it meant not to drive an expensive car, take expensive vacations, or wear expensive clothes. If I had to do it all over again, I would do it in a heart beat!

My experience at this school was great. I am now a college student and always look back at the great times I had at St. Charles. I attended catholic high school upon leaving St. Charles and was totally prepared to meet all the academic requirements. If I am in San Diego when I have children, I will definately, without a doubt, send them to this school.
We are your typical Catholic Navy Family that moves schools every two to three years. Our children have atttended Coronado Public, top private schools in HI and Northern VA. Never has the transition to a new school been smoother and more positve for our children. New Parents and Students have Mentors and Buddies. The values of the other parents were on par with our own and I immediately felt safe in letting our children go to their new friends homes. Amazing and compassionate Teachers who take the time to get to know their students and teach to their academic abilities as well as their peers all in one class and all in one day. I am 100% confident that our children will do amazingly well at their next school and be at the head of their class.

Safety of my children; teachers, staff and parents involvement in giving their time to better serve the needs of the students are the two important reasons why my husband and I decided to bring our two sons (5th & 8th grade) in this school.

My son has been at St Charles since kinder, and now he is in the 6th grade. Everyone knows each other at this school; we are one big family. I do not worry about my son's safety, but probably would if he were to be at another school. High academic standards are required of each student, and there is the technology to help them achieve their academic potential. Additionally, the extracurricular activities are awsome, and each child is encourage to participate, nobody gets left behind. Definitely, my son , will be a St. Charles Graduate. I cannot pictured him in any other school, only this one.

It is disappointed to see how the academic level of the school has gone down in the last years. Some of teachers are great, but the performances of others leave a lot to be desired by far. Also, teacher s aides have no required preparation. On the other hand, school has strong faith and family values.

This school is amazing, not only is it academically the best, it also has wonderful teachers and staff who adore our children! St Charles everyday amazes me with everything they do for the community, I am so glad and blessed to be able to have my daughter in this school, as I believe that she will have the best education and the best spiritual values ever. thank you very much for placing this school as part of this contest because private schools do not always get the credit they deserve.
