Thanks! There is a lot of info on their website. I've read a lot about their curriculum, and it sounds great. I like the philosophy of the school a lot. I'll keep checking back on this site to see if they have test scores, reviews, etc.78468
Hi, I have two kids that attend OTA. We were nervous about being a part of a start up Charter school but really liked the idea of the curriculum. All in all, the first year has been relatively smooth. I have to say my kids, a second and third grader, are thriving at this school. The work is very challenging but they are doing really well. They have projects and homework. Also, they work with various computer programs on iPads (as well as at home) that focus on math, language, geography, and spelling. Some other things they enjoy about the school is that they learn how to play piano on iMacs in music lab. They also have computer lab, science lab, robotics, mock trials, and seminar discussions. There are two days of P.E. The school has organized many after school programs, for a fee, that include violin, piano, zumba, soccer, mandarin, spanish, karate, sewing, painting the masters, lego robotics, etc. My kids have enjoyed doing some of these too. So overall, our personal experience has been positive. BTW, the kids wear uniforms. They have P.E. uniforms as well. Hope this helps answer your question. 78603
