About the program The Academy of Arts and Sciences' ExCEL Afterschool Program offers visual and performing arts classes (drumming, hiphop, WolfTube Media, arts and crafts), soccer, cheerleading, basketball, job readiness, service learning, and Cyber High.SFUSD ExCEL afterschool programs ensure involvement of teachers from students' schools to make sure that afterschool academics are aligned with the school day curriculum. Every school with an ExCEL program partners with a non-profit community based organization to run activities and build bridges to the neighborhood.
