Best thing as a parent of this school is an amazing principle, He works wonders with the kids and my son is NOT one for authority outside the home I know! But he has a wonderful impact with my son, teachers are very proactive with parents who are proactive in their kids education and great support. As a parent I couldnt ask for more.

Burton is a school where academics are of the upmost priority. ALl of the students here put their grades above everything else. They are all so determined and motivated to do well. I am extremely glad that I teach at this school... Watching these young adults progress and succeed in life is the most incredible gift I could ask for. They are all going quite far in life.

Burton has incredible diversity and fantastic after school programs. This is my eleventh year teaching in urban high schools; this year is my first at Burton High School. What a year it is shaping up to be! This school offers clubs, sports, dances, volunteer opportunities, field trips, wellness programs, library services, after school programs, and much more. I am glad I made the move to Burton High!

I am an alumni from Burton High School. I will have to say this is one of the best school in preparing students for college and protecting the students from harm. I have gained a lot of social skills, academic opportunities and leadership skills from this school. Although, the facility is located in a 'bad' neighborhood which I personally do not think is a 'bad' neighborhood there are lot of great opportunities and safety is highly enforced here for the students. Therefore, Burton is a place for an individual to love, learn and lead in one of the most diverse school.

I'm a student in Burton and I have to say it's a good school. Yes, we are in a 'bad' neighborhood. Most would see us and think there are better out there. But the truth is, we've got beautiful people with our diversity and great teachers who love to teach. The school's been hit hard - teachers were cut; languages, APs, honors all cut - but we still prevail and try our best with what they give us. You won't find another school like ours
