We feel lucky to have our child at Peabody. Our child has communication challenges and is shy but is thriving. The speech staff, teachers and principal seem to know how to help. The small school size seems to help our child feel comfortable.
If your child is shy or have communication problems don t send your child to Peabody.
Peabody was a 4th choice school on when we applied for kindergarten and we were assigned here and are very happy. The principal is great, he interacts with all the kids, knows everyone's name, encourages parent participation. The Richmond district in San Francisco is very lucky to have such a 'hidden' gem!
the principal is excellent the special class teacher is great. there are so many activity for the kids in after school. Over all I can say this is one of the best school that you should let your kids go even is a small school but it fill like a family
My son is a 2nd grader and is doing great at Peabody Elementary. It's a school with small class size and wonderful teachers. Most have over 20 years experience. The school is constantly growing, adding new extra-cirrurricular activities like art class and spanish lessons! Their first May carnival is being planned. There is incrediable parental involvment and leadership. The API scores have gone up every year my son has attended, making it, in my eyes, one of the top San Francisco public schools. It has everything my son needs to learn and grow and be accepted for who he is.
I like the student to teacher ratio, and the principal is very involved with the whole student body as well as the teachers, staff and parents.
