Ark Christian Academy

A family-owned preschool. Owners care too much what will be beneficial to them. Too much focus on academy, not other areas of developmental. Kids are learned by forcing them to follow all the rules during the day, but not by experience. Tuition will be raised once a while. I can't say it is a bad school because it focus on academic. it really depend on what you really want for the kids.

Very good family run school, with a strong principal. I was a little worried about subjecting my 2 and a half year old to a somewhat strict academic setting so early, but believe it was best for him. Academic standards are high here. There is limited teacher turnover, food is nutritious, and school is year round!

I've been scouting for preschools in the San Gabriel area and have decided on Ark for my child because of their academics. The classrooms and bathrooms are always tidy and clean. Teachers are friendly and kids are constantly supervised. I like the idea of the kids rotating to the different subject areas twice a day. Cons...small playground, school is located near the main road, principal does not encourage parental participation in the classrooms.

I like the school for some things and do not like it for others. The management staff are very rude. Seems like they only want the money. The teachers are OK. But the children move around the school daily to different teachers and my daughter took a long time to get used to this system. They are somewhat acedemic which is good. But the playgrounds are TINY! The meals are poor in my opionion and the teachers seem to be cleaning all the time. Oh, the school is on a busy, dusty street and the traffic is TERRIBLE!

Ark is a very good preschool. My daughter has been there since it opened and we have seen excellent results. What I love most than anything is that they prepare the students with Kindergarten material prior to moving into Grade K. This will help her be ahead of the game.

I was disappointed after I enrolled my daughter in this school. She is not learning anything even though the school says it teaches math, spelling, reading etc. I think they fall down because the kids are moved around all day from room to room. One teacher and room would be better so my daughter feels more comfortable. Their teachers change quite a bit also.
