I'm a teacher at S.J.E. and I love where I work! It is a joy to wake up every morning and come to work. The students are amazing to work with because daily I see the impact I have on their lives and the change I am making. Yes, the school is not in the safest of areas- but it is safe. I feel safe everyday. Also, the teachers definitely do care a great deal about the students- that is why most of us chose this profession, to impact their lives in a positive way. Mr. Hixson is an excellent, caring, leader who is supportive of the staff, students, and families. I love S.J.E.!

This school many be older but it has a nostalgic feel to it. The teachers do care, they are aware of the children's needs. Even the ground staff watch out for the kids. If you feel this school is old or doesn't fit your standards then I would challenge you to do something about it! Volunteer, make a difference. Take part in attending school meetings, find out what you can do, make your vote count. Our community leaders need to pay attendant to this school,it has needs. How about a local nursery donate some needed landscaping? I know I would shop at that nursery just for doing that! The teachers are great! Mr. Hixson is an outstanding principle we are blessed to have him.

I like the school I do think it could be a little safer but they do a pretty good job of keeping an eye on things. love my sons 1st grade teacher and the kinder. teacher wouldn't change either I believe that she does her best to reach the level the children should be at and my son is beyond that. I do think more parents should get involved because it would make a difference instead of complaining lend a hand to help change things.

My son has been @ San Jacinto Elementary for 2 1/2 years. It has been a great for him. If he didn't have the teachers he had. It would have been hard for him. They have done a great job with the prymind program.
