Parent involvement details Parents are kept up to date with daily emailed announcements and almost daily text messages from the site principal and staff. Parents are encouraged to take an active part in their student's learning while also adjusting to the middle school environment where students need to begin to self-advocate for their individualized learning.
Approach to addressing and preventing bullying Prevention and student education are the two best approaches to prevent bullying. Our parents run an anti-bullying program called mPower. Close to 100 8th graders participate in WEB and work hard to make sure Union Middle is an inclusive environment for all students.
