My daughter is now a junior at VCHS and can't say enough good things about it. As a christian parent I want my child well rooted in christian beliefs before entering a secular society, I believe that is being met. All schools have issues but I can say if a problem exists this principal will evaluate the problem and try to resolve it in a timely fashion. The course work is tough and the students must work hard to maintain good grades. My son went to a well known all boys school in this area and VCHS well exceeded it in academics as well as sports and the arts.

Both my son and daughter grew spiritually while at this school, which mattered most to my wife and I. Academically, I was especially happy with the preparation they received. Both attend university now (my son graduates this spring!) and are doing very well in their studies. Their writing and analytical thinking skills, in particular, were very solid when they left Valley; they were surprised at how many students entered college without such skills in place. On top of that, they were taught to think biblically about the world around them and to seek their role in society as a world-changer. I am profoundly grateful that they attended Valley Christian High School.

As parent of a kindergartner, I am impressed that there is a 'culture' of catching potential problems early. Other observations include: the experienced teachers are both very insightful and caring, and even non-teachers on the staff appear to be alert and friendly. Bottom line: my wife and I are very pleased we chose this school.

Despite several well intentioned teachers and administrators... what started as a great idea and a great school and been turned into nothing more than an elitist football camp. Both my brother and I went to both the junior and senior high til graduation but went we got to college we found out that straight A's at Valley didn't mean anything in college. We were incredibly underprepared. On the plus side we greatly enjoyed our extacurricular activities while we were there. The new campus spared no expense when it came to athletic facilities although the art room was still just a classroom and the theatre had yet to be finished. Despite some of the locker room hazing my brother enjoyed his time and despite missing my senior cruise (because you had to have a date to attend) I also would not have traded my time there. I have heard things are getting better and I really hope they are.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
