St. Timothy's is a wonderful school. First and foremost it instills in the kids a sense of community and belonging, and requires the students to maintain accountability for their actions. The staff is amazing, and are extremely creative and inclusive of the parents to form activities to enhance the traditional curriculum. The school offers impressive facilities and programs, including a computer program (starting in Kindergarten), music, art and physical education. It is also piloting a program called 'Kid Lead' which identifies and fosters leadership traits and how to enhance the types of personalities that make excellent leaders, as well as those that would support the leadership in an auxiliary/supporting role. The additional extra curricular activities are also very supportive of the entire experience. There are numerous events that bring both the school as well as the families together to share in extremely wonderful experiences. The participation of the families in the overall experience is both welcomed and really separates St. Timothy's from other schools.

Our son is in the fifth grade at St. Timothy's, and has attended since pre-school 3's. The best thing about St. Timothy's is the staff. The classroom teachers truly care about the children, and take time for each individual student. The general atmosphere of this school is warm and nurturing. There is a high level of parent involvement. Two other areas are absolutely top rate: the music ( choir ) program has a director who is unsurpassed in the ability to bring out the best in the children; the library program includes an annual 'read across America day,' as well as an annual book faire. St. Timothy's more than met my expectations as an elementary school, both in terms of academics and values. I highly recommend this school.

My wife and I first learned of St. Timothy's Lutheran School through the church. We had fully planned to enroll our two children into public schools. We realized that the school was, in fact, an extension of the church and incorporated all of the values that my wife and I hold dear. After enrolling our first child in pre-school we realized how powerful the commitment was to quality education on the part of the faculty and staff. We also came to understand and appreciate the commitment all the parents shared to each other and to the kids and school faculty. St. Timothy's has proven to be a wonderful environment for our two children. They have been allowed to learn at their own pace in a Christian context that stresses love and respect for all. We truly couldn't be happier with the result. James Moore

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
