Teach Elementary School

I went to Teach back in 1963, I remember Mrs. Bucy s class of Square dance and how wonderful it was then. I now live in South America, on an island called Margarita in the caribbean sea.

Incredibly successful program. Students are encouraged to and given the tools to excel. My daughter not only performs outstandingly, but is also truly enjoying being at school and learning.

Absolutely, hands-down, the best elementary school around! Mr. Crabb, the fourth grade teacher, was the District's Teacher of the Year a few years ago for good reason! He challenges his students while keeping the classroom environment structured yet fun and rewarding. Teach also offers education in the digital lab, teaching students to make and edit movies. They won an award at the SLO Film Festival! I also love the school garden, teaching children about growing all sorts of fruits and vegetables. Other extracurricular "hands on" field trips to AstroCamp, Yosemite and Catalina Island Marine Institute further compliment the student's education. The principal, Mr. Dan Block, is highly involved and truly cares about each and every student at the school. HIs door is always open to students and parents alike. I can't imagine any child not living up to their potential at Teach. My son is reading at the 8th grade level and is moved into higher grades for math according to his needs. Each child's cirriculum is indivdualizaed so they can progress according to their abilities. Teach challenges the brightest of students to live up to their potential in a loving, supportive environment!

My neighbor's daughter attended Teach school from another in the district. Her parents sent her because they heard she would be in a class with like students. She is bright and gifted. The whole family was so disappointed. Students in her class had just as many learning problems as her old school. Some even went to the teacher who teaches kids with learning issues as well as to the school counselor for behavior. Not worth the move!

I love Teach Elementary because it allows academically gifted children to grow as much as they are capable. At Teach the kids are exposed to many extracurricular programs that other children are not.

The best option for our son in the county. He was the only fourth grade student to transfer to Teach when he started, and he loved every minute of it. Challanging curriculum with high standards, preparing them for Jr. High and the organizational skills have changed his life down to the way he keeps his room! Private education found at next to nothing, except the expense of the study trips that you can make payments for. Don't be scared of by what you hear from people who don't know, it's the best school around.

Teach is a great small school for accelerated learners up to the challenge of high standards and expectations. The teachers are experienced and the principal is the best! Parents are involved in every aspect of the school. For those looking for such a setting, there is no better school.

Teach is the greatest school I have ever been to. The parents, teachers, and students all work very hard to make the entire learning experience a success. Teach is also the overall best in the county, academically. Ask anyone who has gone to Teach, and they'll tell you that Teach is fantastic. I highly recommend it to anyone.

Teach school is an alternative program for highly motivated, independent learners. It is an amazing school that is currently ranked 4th in the State for A.P.I. scores. Teach provides wonderful week long study trips to astro camp, Yosemite, and Catalina (Simi Institute) for the students, along with many field trips emphasizing arts/science curriculum. Teach also has a wonderful supportive, involved parent booster club. The best thing about Teach is that your student is surrounded by other students who are excited to be there and are interested in learning. The atmosphere is unduplicatable in any other public school.
