The school has had a recent change in leadership and it looks like it is going in the right direction. The new head of school is dynamic, knowledgeable, caring and well organized. She has a vision for the school that will lead to many positive changes. The class sizes are small and the teachers are caring. Plus the campus is beautiful! This is a great place for my child. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else.

The Laureate is struggling with lack of organization, lack of knowledgeable leadership, and caring and compassionate relationships with families. The teachers are caring and compassionate, it is the administration and their disorganization that leaves much to be desired.

This school will accommodate for all children, with disabilities to gifted. I was in 7th grade last year, and I did algebra, they really tried hard to accommodate my math skills. I was in a class of three, it was blissfully small. I have been to almost every private school in the county and this was the only one that was sufficient.

We are thrilled with Laureate - they allow each child to excel at the level and style that works for them. My daughter has been able to sail forward a grade in spelling and yet get extra support where she needed it in math. She loves learning two languages, and the enrichment programs in drama, choir and organic gardening. She loves how she gets to interact with the upper grades in partnership projects and she just can't wait to go to PE three times a week. She even won the Presidential Fitness Challenge thanks to the coaching and loving support of the PE staff. We can't say enough good things about the flexiblity, open-mindedness and support of the adminstration and teaching staff. It's one big happy family at the Laureate!

The teachers are so caring & compassionate everday. The children are thrieving in such a possitive environment. I am amazed everyday to see how the children are so enthused and engaged in their work.

Overall the school is ok, but if your child has any kind of learning disability this might not be the school for you

My kids love our school. Yes, we have new ownership, headmaster, dynamic learning lessons, and language being offered in Spanish, Mandarian. So much to come. We are excited.

My daughter fell in love with the school from day one. She went to other schools before but was never so excited about any other schools like the Laureate. I think the calming environment and many interesting projects are among the few that attract her the most.

Community ratings and reviews do not represent the views of GreatSchools nor does GreatSchools check their accuracy or verify the reviewers' identities. Use your discretion when evaluating these reviews.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
