We continue to enjoy and value the close-knit community of Meadow Heights. Our children attend with both neighborhood friends and with children from other neighborhoods, thus broadening their own personal experiences in forming a variety of new friendships. Our teachers are amazing and talented and dedicated and we have been happy with our new principle. We love our school and all the "extras" offered (largely due to parent/PTA suppor)t: Art in Action, PE four days/week, a librarian on the campus, music for 1/2 of the school year, field trips, and more.

My children have attended this school for the past three years. It's a small school with great parent/community involvement that values real learning without overloading the students with excessive homework. The principal is accessible and responsive to parent concerns, and works with the staff to create an environment where children learn their academics AND the importance of good citizenry. The four teachers we've had have all been very good or excellent. The PTA IS AMAZING and works hard to provide rich minimum day activities, Art in Action, music class from January-June, as well as Physical Education four times/week. The student body is composed of ethnically and socio-economically diverse students which helps our children be better prepared for the diverse global community in which they'll have to function. A WONDERFUL SCHOOL!!!!!

Meadow Heights is a wonderful school. Outstanding teachers, involved parents (who are welcomed and respected for their opinions and input, as well as their help), and it's all brought together by an outstanding principal and school staff.

Meadow Heights has a wonderful and involved parent community. I have found the teachers to be nurturing and the Principal takes the time to get to know every child and their family.

I love Meadow Heights for my 1st grader. My younger daugther will be there next year. Meadow Heights has great leadership - our principal is very involved, very dyanmic, cares about the kids, is an activist for our school's interests and helps develop her staff. Second, parents are involved. The PTA is extremely active with activities planne throughout the year. Parents volunteer in the class room as well. Third, while focused on making sure kids get a good education, it's relatively laid back. Sure, I'm an anal MBA like other parents in the area, but people in this school aren't maniaclly focused on just making sure their kid becomes the next Einstein. Rather, there is a sense of community with a focus on making sure the staff and students are happy and thriving. For public school, you can't beat it. And I love the diversity (and cost of public school)

This is a great school with an excellent principal, gifted, involved teachers, and most of all, a very strong parent community. I concur with other reviewers who say that test scores don't tell the whole story and in fact are very misleading. (Look at the detailed breakdown to get a better picture). The PTA is extremely active and funds PE and Art, among other things (some of which are not available in areas such as Palo Alto). The small size of the school gives it an even stronger neighborhood feel and parents take a very active role in their children's education.

Meadow Heights is an outstanding school with a strong community and exceptional principal leadership. Parent involvement is high and students are eager to learn. The principal is truly an inspiration and her strong leadership drives both the teachers and students to excel to their fullest potential. If you are evaluating potential schools for your child, be sure to look beyond the test scores and get to know this fantastic neighborhood school. Due to the small size of the school, the test scores are unjustly weighted by the two special day classes held here. Meadow Heights is truly a gem and I look forward to being a part of this school's community for the next 7 years.
