My 5 children have been attending Pleasant Valley School consistently for the last ten years. We chose this school for it's small size and high API scores. There isn't much our kids can and did get away with at this school because of it's small size, which was great. Parent involvement is very good and part of that may stem from the fact that the school doesn't have a bus system. I know that can be difficult for some families, but it allows for a close connection with parents and teachers on an almost daily basis. Without a doubt this school will give your child a strong base on which to build upon. And currently they have a relatively new teacher for the 7/8 class who is superb. He engages the students on a multiple of levels and excels at science. We are so blessed to have him at our school. While some parents have felt at this level the kids are best at a large middle school to transition to Paso Robles high, however we did not find that to be a problem for our three older children who adjusted very well into high school. We are and have been very happy to allow our kids to grow into young adults at Pleasant Valley School.

This school is by far the bast school in North County! We made a mistake by leaving it it try out a closer school. After three weeks of the new school we are returning to PV. If you send your kids to Lillian Larsen you should visit Pleasent Valley to see what you are missing!

Great school! But, like all the other schools, the budget cuts has seriously affected it. Great scores on the standardized test though! Once again, the school's environment has changed a lot since last year...

I attended PVS all nine years. It's an amazing school. The teachers genuinely care and go above and beyond for every student. Test scores are almost two and half times the state average. It's a great experience for a child to attend PVS. When my daughter is old enough to start school, I plan on moving back to the area- she deserves the best schooling available. And that is obviously Pleasant Valley School.

This school is probably the best school in the area, by far. We have been nothing but impressed by all aspects of the school

Quality of academic programs is o.k. Teachers, principal don't always seem to know the latest. Extracurricular activities are in short supply. K-8th grade with about 40 kids. Parent involvement is minimal, same parents each year helping out.
