I am not a parent but serve our students in another capacity at Lake Elelmentary. I truly believe that we have a fine school with an excellent and caring staff. We work very hard at providing the children with a good education and appropriate disciplines. Our kids are great. I think that the staff and parent participation has a lot to do with making them the great young people that they are. We strive to help our students be bright kids with bright futures at Lake!

My 3rd Grade son attends this horrific school, and I would not recommend it to anyone! I moved from El Sobrante and had to take him out of Sheldon and this school is was a big downgrade. The principle is not that good at ALL, and the teachers are ok but I have seen better. Their after school program was what got my attention at first but after my son had an Asthma attack and was out of school for a week they gave his spot away without contacting me or the school directly to even inquire of why he was absent. I complained to the principle and nothing was done.

Lake has been great for my son. He is a first grader and can read very well. His demands for learning is being met. His kindergarten teacher last year was top notch and his teacher now was just awarded as best teacher in California. The principal encourages parent involvement and truly kind to the students while playing an active role in discipline and educating on a first hand basis.

I have had 4 children attend Lake school with a good level of satisfaction. The teachers there are all committed to giving the kids a good foundation to start. There are alot of after school activities, and a high level of parent participation. I think the staff at the school feels like family.
