I have had at least 1 child at PV for over 6 years. This school is fantastic. I wouln't put my child in any other middle school in San Ramon. The sense of community is remarkable and the teachers really care about the kids. My kids love going to school here. They can walk to and from school without having to worry about busy streets and traffic. Attending a school in a close knit area like this keeps my kids safe. The students care about eachother and there are no safety issues I've run into. Definately a great school and anyone going here is very lucky!

Needs to be more emphasis on a safe campus.Perhaps a campus monitor would be a start. The times are changing and we cannot ignore the elephant in the living room any longer. This is one area where talking about it will not solve the problem.

I attended Pine Valley for 2 years. I will never forget my time spent there, and I dont mean that in a good way. The students always seemed so angry.

This school is pretty good but it also has some bad parts. My son has been going to this school for 2 yrs. so far, but he says he doesnt feel safe.

My son has been at Pine valley this year only. He likes it very much. He has been able to get help when needed and feels safe at this school. There is a good variety of classes and programs to keep the children involved and engaged.

Pine Valley has fallen short of our expectations for both of our sons. They have extremely limited extracurricular activities and those sports they do have are haphazardly run. Their academics are a tetter-totter of teachers, it's basically a roll of the dice to see what teachers your children are assigned to. If your child is considered anything but a serious student, don't expect any support from the school or their administrators.

After Back to School Night 2003, I was so impressed with the teachers and their backgrounds, many are very qualified for their position and really have a love for teaching. I really felt lucky that my daughter attends Pine Valley, and could understand why people move to San Ramon 'for the schools and parks'.

I love this school. Everyday my daughter comes home excited telling me all this stuff about what she did today. I love the wheel classes that she talks about. Way to go Pine Valley!

My son attends PV. His first year was great and I have seen a fantastic transformation in his academic ability.
