The school itself is great. The teachers are very supportive and helpful when you need it. But the students? Not so much.
I graduated from this school a couple of years ago, and academically, now that I am a high school student, the educational foundation has helped me considerably. A majority of the SAC graduates go on and take Honors classes in high school, and the classes are no more complicated than ones we had taken at SAC. There is a drawback, that the school is small and later in high school it may cause a culture shock going from a class of 60 to a class of 600. And a school of 300 to 2000. But I did not experience said culture shock, and all of the extra curriculars offered (band, guitar, sports, art) definitely benefited me. And the friends I made there, well, I'm still friends with them today(another benefit, having basically grown up along side my fellow students). Go Bears!
I am a student currently attending Sanger Academy and this will be my last year. I have attended this school for four years and I really appreciate all of my teachers. I'm very happy that I got to meet everybody there. What's great about this school are the challenges that you are given. It is an absolute privledge to be a part of the Sanger Academy family. I'm also very happy that I was a part of the first 8th grade class to welcome the new principal, Mrs. Platt, to the Sanger Academy family. I'm currently a 4.0 student; I couldn't have done it without my friends, parents, and teachers. -Amaris M.
i go to this school take it from me this scool is awesome
SACs is awesome. My son is doing so much better there than he previous school. He loves the structure and learning to play guitar. There are a lot of expectations placed on him and he is stepping up to the challenges.
My daughter has been attending SAC for four years and has enjoyed every minute of it! The school has always done exceptionally well in academics and this year has proven themselves to be a threat in athletics as well. My daughter pitched the BEARS to their first district-wide softball championship~not bad for a charter school! Mr. Garcia, Principal; Mr. Rodriguez, Mr. Mullins, Ms. Given, Mrs. Neely-Gates, Mrs. Lopez-Lickey, Mrs. Santos, and Mr. Russo are just a few of the Teachers who are deserving of a Bear Award.
hi ive been coming here for 3yr. and this is a good school the princibal Mr.garcia has allot of dicipline now i am a sixth grader the teachers are great espissaly music teacher like Mr russo he is the bombthank you Amanda R.
dear parents, if you are looking for a school for your child/children, the best in my opinion is...sanger academy. my child has gone there for two years and feels safe in the enviorment and is learning alot of new things. the princebel, is a great role model for the kids; he prepares them for the futre and makes there abilaty for learning, having fun, and comunity of caring raise higher.this school is also has a very good education in my opinion. ever since my child has attend to go there he has been exited about going to school, and learning new things. if you want this for your child/children decided to send them to sanger academy!
Music program is integrated in schedule for grades 5-8. Art program is available for all grades. Academics are above par.
I went to this school for two years and have to say that there are some good things about this school along with some bad things. The music program there is great. Mrs. Simba-Torres and Mr. Russo are excellent music teachers. Some of the academic teachers were not very good, sort of strange. I found the academics a bit too difficult for our class as a whole. You were either failing or you were stressed while getting good grades. The uniforms are a big problem. Yes, I know that no kid wants uniforms, but this school went overboard on it. The staff (mostly the principal) was constantly nagging at us to tuck in our shirts. This was taking away from our concentration in a way because were we all worried about it. I think if people got more invovled and listened to the students thoughts, the school could get better.
