ok my friend goes here and he said that its pretty creepy he said it has some bad people mabye as bad as people from maryknoll scholl in honolulu, hawaii
My time at La Colina was horrible. Most of the teachers were unprofessional and barely knew their own student's names.
this school is an absolute joke. i would never send my kids there. most teachers there are terrible, and the classes didn't help my kid prepare for high school. i wouldn't be surprised to see this school shut down soon. i can't believe this school is rated 5 stars.
As a teacher, I have subbed here many times, and consider it the very best school in the entire school district. The kids are great and want to learn. The staff is fabulous, the school is clean and well organized. Bravo
This is a fabulous school. The campus is gorgeous, and the staff is very friendly. There are interesting projects like 'Walk Through the Middle Ages'. The teachers are great, and parents are very involved.
I love this school. All of the teachers are very nice.
This is a fabulous school! Parents are very involved. The discipline is top rate so kids can learn without disturbances from others. When my son misses even one assignment, I receive a call from a teacher! They create a fun, interesting and challenging curriculum.
La Colina appears to have higher test scores than the other public middle schools in te area. This is not taking the Santa Ynez Valley into account. The teachers and principal seem to be very involved in making it agreat school. There was a considerable shift of students coming from the La Cumbre area due to the school's overall scores putting them on probation. However, their math department was one of the top scorers in the state. The school is largely Hispanic (approx. 85%). Our son is in his first year, so the jury is still out. The one aspect of Junior High that many of us parents were shocked to learn is the practice of no longer having showers after p.e. class!
