This is my daughter's second year at Monticello Academy and I couldn't be happier. This is the place where the principal and teachers know all the kid's names. Their commitment to the success of the students is second to none. The priority of the teachers as well as the staff is that each and every student reach their academic as well as their social/emotional potential. The goal of Monticello is that the students are successful in school and ultimately successful in life. We all feel as a part of a big family in this school. I highly recommend Monticello Academy to other potential parents.
I have moved my son from different private school to Monticello to 2nd grade because his prev school was disaster academically. He was really upset to leave the great place where you can do nothing except having fun so Monticello teacher had a bit of challenge. He is doing great there, accepted the fact it is much more homework and structure and I am just sorry I didn't know about this school before. It is very affordable for private school, great afterschool program, hot lunches included in tuition ect... I hope for next year we will have as great teacher as we have now.
My daughter attended Monticello Academy in fall 2009, during a very rough time for her and problems with school. We visited most K-8th private school around this area, and decided to go with Monticello school. Since attending this wonderful school, she has opened up to her teachers, and made a lot of new, close friends. The small school environment, with extremely friendly and dedicated teachers has made a very positive impact on her. The students in this school are very friendly, and make new students feel very welcome. Began to show a new interest in school and is a much happier child compared to previous school. The staff has been there for us as a family and all of her teachers show a true interest in her. On academic side, it is fairly rigorous, and they have a top notch computer curriculum. She does so much better with her SAT test last year than before. This school is a perfect fit for my daughter, and I'm a very happy parent !!!!
I agree that the low ratings assessed by some of the reviewers positively puzzle me. I have visited, and my daughter has attended many schools. Monticello is by far the best in terms of dedicated teachers and administrators, a rigorous and engaging curriculum, a terrific after-school program, top-notch computer technology and arts/music programs (what other school has computer classes 4 days a week where students actually learn how computers work, how to code, design....). This school is superlative in every way.
it is an awesome school. dont know why its gotten 3 stars only. you have to be here to feel the difference between Monticello and others. i have shopped a lot in the past 3 years for the right school for my son. he joined this one earlier this year in the Sunshine Room and has loved it to the core. we as parents have loved the carefully involved teachers, the ulta responsible management..challenging curriculum, regular fun and educative field trips, well coached co curricular activities.. you name it and they have it already in place....successfully accomplished!!
School too small and don't have resources for extra support , staff uncooperative and egoistic teachers. We have better choices at the same tuition fee.
My daughter is attending K in Montincello Academy. We are very happy with our selection. Not only we feel that the teacher quality and principal leadership is excellent, but also there is a lot of parents involvment. We like in particular the language and computer programs this school offers. The food is very diverse and prepared at school. Above all my daughter loves it! She wanted to be signed up for the afterschool program so she can stay at school longer . I would highly recommend this school.
This school is really wonderful. They have highly energetic and wonderfully phenomenal teachers, and very involved parents. I wasn't to sure simply by looking at the school or at its specific programs, but they have done an amazing job with my son. I definitely see the growth in what he has learned, and his accomplishments are in part because of the wonderful staff. The cons side for this school is that the parking lot is somewhat small, so it can be quite busy during pickup/drop off hours.
My son started 1st grade at this school last September. The school has an excellent academic curriculum, great teachers and a diverse group of children. The parents are involved and care about the children. The owner is committed to provide great quality education and support for the students, it seems. Will give more detail feedback at the end of the school year.
My family loves being a part of Monticello Academy. We all have had a very positive experience here. My two children are thriving, both academically and socially. The dedicated teachers and staff are amazing with the children and are very involved. My wife and I are both actively involved in the school and we have a real connection to this community. We have made life-long friends here. I would recommend Monticello Academy to any parent.
