New Valley Continuation High School

As a teacher at New Valley, I have rediscovered my passion of working in education. The students come to New Valley High School for a variety of reasons. And the students are always our number one priority. The staff are dedicated to helping the students succeed in their educational goals. The turnaround that I've witnessed with these students is amazing. As educators, we create a safety net for the students who seem to fall through the cracks. And we work as a team to get them back on their feet and moving in the right direction. We are not only teachers, but advisors as well. Every student enrolled at New Valley High School has an advisor who manages their individual needs, whatever they may be, while providing a safe and encouraging boost. I have never worked with a staff as dedicated as the one at New Valley High School.

We moved from Sunnyvale to Santa Clara, when my daughter left high school in Sunnyvale, she was unmotivated, behind in credits and pretty much felt like she had no chance ever catching up or even graduating. When she came to New Valley everything changed for the better. She is motivated, I have no problems with her not wanting to go to school. She tells me that she knows and feels the teachers as well as vice principal and principal truly care if she graduates as well as caring about what she does after graduating. My personal experience with the administration and teachers has been wonderful. Any concern i have had i've been able to call and get answers or have a solution recommended by the administration. This has been a great school. Its a great feeling to see my daughter confident again.
