Legacy is THE BEST decision we have ever made! We were "on the fence" when deciding between public school (there are some good ones in Santa Clarita) and private/Christian school. We sadly let money make our decision rather than being prayerful about where we should send our child, and thus began our 1st school year in a (free) public school. After one month of public school mediocrity, we realized there is a HUGE difference between "good" and "excellent". Legacy is indisputably EXCELLENT. We were blessed to be able to transfer to Legacy after the school year started. It was the BEST decision! Is paying tuition a sacrifice? Yes. But for what you are getting in return, it is worth every single penny. if you are looking for the perfect blend of Christian values mixed with academic excellence, Legacy is where you need to be. The teachers are kind, loving, encouraging and are constantly communicating with parents. You will never have to wonder what your child is doing or how your child is doing. The level of academics is fantastic. It's true what they say... Legacy's kindergarten is public school's first grade. To say our child thrived in the first year is an understatement. The academics are beyond compare. What strikes us most about Legacy however, are the Christian values and biblical teachings that are woven into everyday life at school. Prayer is commonplace. Chapel on Fridays - fantastic! The character traits, one highlighted each month, are excellent. The administration is great. This is a hands-on school. The principal and other administrative staff are outside every morning HAPPILY greeting the kids as they walk into school. It sets the tone for the school... it's a family... a kind, loving, encouraging family. We initially had concerns starting at a school that had already been in session for a month or so. At that point, relationships between parents have been established, relationships between children have been established. We were concerned with feeling like "outsiders." Happily, it was quite the opposite - we were welcomed with open arms. Our child is happy EVERY day he goes to school. He is excited to learn EVERY day he goes to school. That's a HUGE testament to those who created it, those who run it and those who teach there. If you are "on the fence" like we were, don't be. It's an investment you'll never regret.

As an English family with a frequent requirement to move location throughout our children's education, we are so thankful to have found Legacy Christian Academy. The support and kindness shown by leadership and staff has been constantly tremendous. Long term friendships and wonderful memories have been made in a very strong forward thinking, broad based academic environment. We are confident that our children will be extremely well prepared, morally, spiritually and academically wherever their future path may lead.

Dear Legacy Families, There is cause for great celebration! We are excited to announce that Legacy Christian Academy has officially been selected by the Council for American Private Education (CAPE) as one of its nominees for the prestigious National Blue Ribbon Schools Program. This is a highly-distinguished nomination; only 50 private schools throughout the entire country receive this nomination by CAPE each year. In fact, this nomination is so rare that there was not a single private school throughout California that was honored with a nomination in 2014. This nomination honors Legacy Christian Academy as an exemplary, high-performing school. One of the major prerequisites for a school to receive this nomination is that its student scores on a standardized test must rank in the top 15% of either the country or the state. Legacy Christian Academy has a history of scores well within this mark. In fact, over the past five years, Legacy students had a percentile average of 91.5% when compared to other private schools throughout the nation. This award is reflective of the rigorous, challenging academic program Legacy has provided for over 20 years. Every day at Legacy, students gain the skills necessary to become innovative leaders with hearts of strong Biblical character. Each of our students is growing in their ability to think deeply and creatively as they develop the skills of communication and collaboration. Through Legacy s differentiated instruction, technological focus and academic acceleration, our students are cultivating a successful future for themselves and our world. In September of this year, the U.S. Department of Education will officially announce the 2015 National Blue Ribbon Schools from among the nominated private and public schools. To officially honor the recipients of the National Blue Ribbon Award, a ceremony will be held later in the fall in Washington, D.C. We will keep you updated on our progress. This nomination by CAPE is a testimony to the hard work, dedication, professionalism, and love of so many. The Lord has blessed us with a community truly deserving of this national nomination. Please join us in congratulating our faculty, staff, administration, students and families as we celebrate this honor. Sincerely, Dr. Matthew Northrop Principal

Legacy is a school that dreams big! The competent and purposeful administration is always prevue to what is happening in the ever evolving educational environment we live in. The teachers and staff are thoughtful, kind, knowledgable, and invested in each student that walks Legacy halls. The school as a whole is dedicated to producing well rounded contributing members of society. With a character curriculum that highlights stand out qualities like that of being a lifelong learner, a dedicated doer, an accelerated achiever and therefore excellent examples it's no wander it receives such high praise. As a educator myself I would not have my children anywhere else.

We have been a Legacy family for six years and wouldn't have it any other way. The teachers and administrators are great! The coursework is advanced. We love the enrichment classes like Spanish, art, music etc. Legacy provides an excellent learning environment within a Christian setting. We love Legacy Christian Academy.

Legacy Christian Academy provides its students with a well-rounded, college preparatory education in a loving, Christian environment. Walk into any Legacy classroom and witness the joy of learning in the students' faces. Small class sizes with differentiated groupings for math and reading allow each student to reach their full potential. Exceptionally talented classroom teachers create a learning environment that is stimulating, creative and positive. Character is woven into the fabric of the school - and all the teachers embrace it and model it in such beautiful ways. Outside of the regular classroom, enrichment classes are taught by passionate, skilled teachers in art, music, Spanish, PE, computer, Bible, Science and Mandarin Chinese. Further, Legacy was recently nominated as a National Blue Ribbon School because of its exemplary standardized test scores that average in the 91st percentile of the nation. Only 50 private schools in the entire country were nominated - and Legacy was one of them. We are proud of our school and thankful our daughter had the opportunity to attend here!

Legacy is, by far, the best Christian school in Santa Clarita. My children are trained in a motivating, protected, scholastic environment. And they instructed in God' Word, which then prepares them for everything pertaining to life and godliness. Each teacher, administrator and counselor reinforces Legacy's standards for character by demonstrating their own love, above-and-beyond care, and sincere interest in each child. Legacy does not just instruct students; they partner with you to help grow your child into the person he or she is meant to be!

AMAZING school! Great all around educational experience which incorporates advanced placement, character, spirituality, friendship, and always doing the right thing. I am so grateful that my daughter was part of this "family" every day for the last 9 years. I highly recommend them!

Our children are so very fortunate to be part of the Legacy family! The teachers have surpassed my dreams of excellent educators not only because of their diligence but the kindness and values in their hearts. Along with a fantastic faculty that genuinely cares for it's students I can happily say that all the after-school counselors are just as caring and involved in the children's school environment. Tour the school once and you'll soon realize what a dedicated and loving learning environment truly feels like.

Legacy Christian Academy by far exceeds every expectation my husband and I have in a private, Christian school. Academically, the students are given relevant and current curriculum that pushes them to be independent, critical thinkers. Their abundance of technology also puts the students ahead of the technology curve. Spiritually, the school provides a phenomenal program for their students to learn what great character is and uses examples in the bible to teach the children about such traits as loyalty, responsibility, and selflessness to name a few. I am personally also very thankful for Legacy's emphasis on public speaking. My daughter entered kindergarten as a painfully shy student and has since blossomed into a confident public speaker, delivering speeches and presentations that would rival that of any seasoned adult. The communication that the school provides is also remarkable. We recieve emails and personal phone calls from the teachers on a regular basis to keep us up to date on our students progress and behavior. As a former teacher myself I could not be more happy with a school and our experience attending Legacy these past almost 5 years.

In the Santa Clarita Valley, there are two choices for parents who want their children to have an ethics-based education - one is Trinity, and the other is Legacy. The best way to bottom-line these two excellent programs is with a simple comparison. Trinity is like a church with a school attached; Legacy is like a school with a church attached. For our daughter, Legacy was the better choice. If this type of balanced educational/spiritual approach is what you want for your little ones, I think you can't do better than Legacy. NB: Unlike Trinity, Legacy currently only goes to 8th grade. While there are plans to expand the school in the near future, if this concerns you, know that many children start at Legacy and transfer to either Trinity, or other good schools, like Hart, before heading to college. With their emphasis on science, math, and every other traditional class, plus extras like music, athletics, Mandarin, and Christian studies, Legacy offers the best balance we found in the entire SCV. Your child will be challenged as well as nurtured in a wholesome, caring environment.

This school continues to provide my son with a loving and supportive environment filled with positive messages. Academically, there isn't a better school. The teachers are extremely qualified and caring. They have high expectations and challenge the students to fulfill them. My son loves the all the school technology, the science program, and projects. He will be well-prepared for all the high school AP classes!

Legacy Christian Academy provides my child with a loving, supportive, and academically challenging environment where the word of God is applied to shape the hearts and minds of students. In an era where public schools continue to eliminate extra curricular programs and increase class sizes to adhere to budget cuts, Legacy enhances student learning by hiring specialized educators to teach Science, Spanish, Bible, Art, P.E., and Computer classes to all of its students beginning in kindergarten. In addition, the school provides well organized sport tournaments in basketball, flag football, soccer, volleyball, and cheer. The school also opens the door for students to competitive academic programs like the National Spelling Bee, Math Olympics, Science Olympiad and other educational programs. As a parent and educator, I highly recommend Legacy Christian Academy!

Having recently moved our two daughters to the country, area and Legacy Academy, we had many new challenges to overcome, not least a new school culture and process. Legacy Academy listened to our concerns from day one, took time to help and support our children to settle and in a very short space of time they have adjusted well to their new environment and love their new school. This is a beautiful school with a small family feel, a nurturing and very caring faculty and the education is superior due to its broad and challenging curriculum.

This school deserves five stars and more! I am appalled to find that some parent wrote that the owners are greedy, money hungry individuals. What a terrible thing to say about such kind and generous people! My kids have gone through this school and I have personally seen the founders be generous to many! They even support and have helped build a school in Uganda called, Legacy Uganda. Many of the students (my family included) support a Ugandan child which allows them to get a good education at this school. That doesn't sound like greedy or money hungry to me. All that aside, Legacy has been a great place for my children. Their chapels are glorifying to God, their test scores are high, and many of their alumni grow up to be leaders in their high school. I was blown away by this school when I went on a tour (with one of the founders) and saw with my own eyes how advanced the students were in academics, yes, but also in their communication. My kids love all of their teachers and have grown so much! I can say from personal experience that this school is the best in the area. I just hope they start a high school soon so my kids have a top notch place to go after Jr. High.

Very focused on test scores, and have some of the highest in the nation. However some gifted kids may actually fail to thrive as they feel they are simply sitting, listening and testing. Ideally the school would teach all of their children who to come up with their own solutions to presented problems, create new things (not by the rules), be presented with art in Kindergarten (not just coloring in the lines) and more. Great founders and educators who love our kids, but there is much possibility to take it beyond the test.

Not a great learning or social environment! Just ask around! Ask those who once were part of the 'Legacy" family and have left for negative reasons.

We can say nothing bad about Legacy. Our 2 boys, aged 8 and 13 have totally thrived at Legacy. Our oldest son spent 2 1/2 years in the public school system and we watched it slide into mediocrity and worse. Our regret is that they do not provide grades 9 through 12. The teachers nurturing are superb, facilities are excellent. If pressed to provide any negative comment it would be that the traffic pick up and drop off is a bit overly congested but this is not a real issue concerning the quality of the education provided

I have 3 kids at Legacy, and we have been more than impressed with this school. Our children were in a local public school prior to Legacy. The strong academics and outstanding art, music, foreign language, and sports are well worth the tuition. All of our kids have had the opportunity to play team sports, plus they have lunch leagues as well! Legacy also has an entrepreneur program where students create companies, learn about creating a business plan, marketing, and direct sales. It is a great program that I have not seen in any public school. The staff and administration are outstanding. The principle Mr. Jackson is a bright light at Legacy, and always encourages the students from drop off to pick up. As a parent I would say that if you are looking at schools make sure to visit Legacy this school has it all.

An amazing school. We went from a public school to this private school because of the smaller class size, more extracurricular options, as well as an amazing sports program. Great teachers who care, an incredible principle who cares, and owners who care as well. A perfect combination resulting in an amazing school.

My 5 year old son attends kindergarten at Legacy. Our experience has surpassed our expectations. This school offers a perfect balance between academics, character building and the foundation of a Christian faith. The atmosphere is warm and loving; always conducive to quality and care. The teachers are a dream come true and provide great academic challenges when they see the potential of the child. They also offer great extra curricular activities and even basics in Mandarin starting in Kinder. Spanish is incorporated weekly as well. I recommend this school without any reservations and hope that, by the time my son reaches 8th grade, the school has expanded to also offer High School.

I am surprised there are not more 5 star reviews for this school! We are in our 1st year at the school and I have to say, we are very pleased so far. The communication is excellent! The teachers are outstanding. They are very accessible, welcome parent help and make it their priority to get to know every child. The principal is so energetic and takes real pride in being a role model for his students. He seems to really earn the respect of the children instead of getting respect from fear. The owners seem to be very hands on as well. We hope our children can grown & put down roots here until High School. Please keep up the great work!

It's an amazing school! We have been there since my son was in the 3 year old preschool program. He's been speaking Spanish since kindergarten, completed his first powerpoint presentation in 2nd grade, and list goes on and on. From math and reading, to their public speaking presentations and science lab experiments, you cant beat this school. He's starting 4th grade in the fall of 2009 and is many years ahead of his public school friends.

You wont get a better private school than this. It's curriculam is very high standard and like no other. The staff from top to bottom is Solid!! they are proffesional, understanding, and are highly educated which is a far cry from the other private school we pulled our son from. It is a very safe, morale invironment for a child to get their education. The facility is outstanding. A very community like environment, since Legacy parents are very proactive with the school to come up with fun activities for the whole family to participate. We like how the school lets their childrens parents know how their child is doing on a daily basis with regards behavior and the work that was done that day by taking most(if not all) home. We had just witnessed their christmas play a few weeks ago, we were blown away by the competent performances of all the children, how did they fit that all in with their busy school day, one has to wonder. Their snow day was a blast, the children, parents, admin, teachers all had fun and a chance to unwind. What is there not to like about the school, if your purpose is nothing short of your childs education and well being?. If one ever wanted a top knotch school, this has to be your first stop! then you can check out the rest and see. From here onwards, we are indepted to Legacy. An Honary mention must goto it's owners Mr & Mrs. Bourrel for their vision and hard work in establishing one of the finest school (if not the best) out here in the Valley. Its a privilage that we will never forget. God Bless Legacy!!!

Legacy academy has been a positive experience for our daughter. She was enrolled in their pre-school program (sunshine), and continued her elementary education with Legacy Private academy's strong academic program with emphasis on moral character. It was a positive experience academically and socially. I was not impressed with the Spanish curriculum for the 4-6 grade classes. Our only regret is that the middle school expansion was not planned in time for our child.

We are so happy with Legacy. Our daughter has attended since Kindergarten and is now in the fourth grade. Legacy has high academic standards, great enrichment classes including computers, Spanish, art, music, science, PE. Great field trips including Sacramento and Washington DC! Most importantly however, is the importance the school places on character development. Very loving teachers and staff. Founder, Tim Bourell is a strong leader and fantastic roll model for the children. We plan to keep our daughter at Legacy through the Jr. High grades.

A Very caring, moral and beautiful school. Teachers are good, but change frequently, with pregnancies. Safe, quiet good kids come here. Playground a little small. Very creative events for kids. Test scores above average. We attended 6 years. We'll miss it.
