I have had 3 children at this school for the past 11 years. It has been a wonderful learning and nurturing environment from preschool through 8th grade. The teachers and staff have been wonderful. It is truly a family environment where you really get to know the families of your child's classmates. I feel that my children are very safe and there is a strong focus on educating the whole child. I love that it is a K-8 program. Not only is it convenient to have my kids at the same school for a longer period of time, the "buddy" program between older and younger students is priceless.

My children have been at Holy Cross for the past 7 years, including preschool. I have nothing but good things to say about the school. The teachers are top notch, the environment is nurturing yet academically challenging. The focus on community is something we appreciate daily. I think the skills my kids have learned at Holy Cross will last a lifetime, both academically and spiritually.

The classroom is large and inviting and teachers are nice. But as the year progressed I became disappointed. Every morning when I dropped my child off I would see the kids are running around everywhere. Even though there would be 6 teachers in the room it was still out of control. Everytime I picked my child up he/she was so dirty and sometimes wet. They would let the children play with water during outside time but they did not realize how their clothes, shoes and socks are wet for the rest of the day. My child was four-five at the time and I did not see any introduction to reading, writing, math, etc. I felt it was time to move to another school. I think being a private school that they can and should do better.

This is an excellent school. Students are encouraged and expected to do their best. The academics are relatively high level. When students transfer in from public schools, they are generally quite far behind and have a lot of catching up to do. It is also telling that graduates of Holy Cross get into prestigious high schools and typically excel at whatever school they choose. In addition, the school does not seem to tolerate bullying and encourages social responsibility. I highly recommend it.

Two of my children attended this school and received an excellent education. They were more than prepared for high school and qualified easily for the advanced placement classes. I highly recommend it for its curriculum, teachers, and students' enthusiasm.

My daughter attended a local public elementary school before coming to this school: It took her less than a month to tell me that she likes it better! The teachers and principal are wonderful, the children are kind, considerate and inclusive, the variety of subjects and quality of the education is exceptional. The bonus for us parents is the friendly, family-oriented school community. It's a great school.

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
