My children attended school in the inner-city. They each have excellent work habits. Hence, they've come prepared for the academic challenges of St.Paul. Currently they are both National Honor students.Other than the bias alumni patronizing by certain administrators, the teachers have done a good job. They seem to care about the student. This school needs a major league facelift. The school tends to favor boys athletics over girls. Why no softball field? Poor job of recruiting athletic coaches for wrestling, try Rio Hondo College. Soccer program needs more administrative support. Should also allow more students to take college classes for credit over the summer. Where does the bingo money go? Administration office has AC,but not the classrooms. Financial transparency would be beneficial for all parents.

After visiting many schools, we have decided on St.Paul. they are the only school that really cares about kids and not just $$$. band teacher is wonderful and does a lot of work with elementary schools in the area. We look forward to the next 4 years in the swordsman family.

Our son transferred to St. Paul as a sophomore - not knowing anyone - and was welcomed into the Swordsmen family. He/we love the sports, the curriculum, activities, and the true Christian caring and dedication to the community. We feel blessed that we found this school - well worth the 20 mile drive each way! We are not Catholic, but we love that he can learn Latin, talk freely about God and value the traditions and teachings of a different religion. His classes have been tough, and he is well prepared to go to a Division I top ten school. We truly thank St. Paul for all the lessons and discipline that he has learned, and the love and support he has been shown.

My daughter graduated this year from St. Paul and was accepted into all 10 colleges that she applied to (including all 9 California UC's). A huge 'Thank You and God Bless' to all the staff at St. Paul for helping her on this journey.

My daughter, just started St. Paul High School and totally loves it. At first I was hesitant about but once I did research on several schools, St. Paul was the only school that saw my daughter as a student and welcomed us into there family and did not treat us as just another $ money sign.

St. Paul has undergone huge changes this year under our new principal, changes which were sorely needed. She is a true leader and knows how to build real St. Paul pride: Christian values, rigorous academic standards, strong discipline, and accountability. We are headed in the right direction and need to get the word out that St. Paul High School is a fantastic school. It's a joy to be part of this turn-around.

Graduated from St. Paul in 2007. Though most of the teachers are excellent, most of the money is funneled into the football program. The theater, music and science programs were severely underfunded. Most of the year was completely unbearable with no AC system and furnaces that barely worked. The only reason I'm giving my former school three stars is because of the teachers. Most are dedicated, caring and incredible people. Could not be happier with them.

Very Family Friendly. Students are family orientated and closely bonded. The atmosphere is warm and friendly. Teachers are outstanding and give more than 100% of their time to helping students and volunteering for the benifit of the school. It is my prayer this bond and warmth continue with each new school year.

I am a student and all St. Paul cares about is its football, the buildings need reconstruction and maybe a AC in every room would help, Im forced to go to st. paul, if I wasn't I would rather go to public instead of St. Paul. I hope the new principal makes changes the old one didn't make

I love it at St. Paul High School. We have a tremendous learning environment where people care about each other. We try to maintain competitive sports teams both for girls and boys, we promote our Catholic Christian identity and we try to guide the students to make good choices in our daily lives.

The quality of the academic programs are the best. St. Paul offers clubs, music, art, sports and other extracurricular activities that match your child interest. The level of parent involvement is very high, but very much worth it.

Great School,Great Enviorment. I have 3 graduates of St.Paul. This school helped me as a parent to raise responsible citizens with respect for others as well as them selves. Those St. Paul years were some of the best years of our lives!

About these ratings

The Community Rating is the school’s average rating from its community members (e.g., parents, students, and school staff). The highest possible rating is five stars; the lowest is one star.

We currently do not have any test score information for this school. Unlike public schools, private schools are not always required to report data about their schools or not required to take the same tests as public schools. Many private schools take different standardized tests; however, that information is often made available only to families of enrolled students. We strive to acquire additional private school data whenever available.
