I can't imagine a worse learning environment...I have been so appauled with the schools performance that I can hardly think of words to describe it. First off - if your kid doesn't speak spanish, you'd better hope they pick it up quickly...and the teachers spend so much time with the ESL students and curriculum, that the english-speaking kids hardly get any personal attention. The classes are overcrowded. There is absolutely NO parent-teacher autonomy...you have to practically threaten theese people to get any information out of them about how and what your child is doing in class. This year, they didn't even send home information about scheduled down days and in-service days. The standards and methods they use for teaching are also very strange - I have to reteach my child almost every lesson she "learns" in this school, because their methods are simply ridiculous, and make no common sense. Of course, that part is probably part of the "no-child-left-behind" catastrophe, and not an exclusive problem of this school. My child will be attending private school next year; and I feel terrible for the families who are STUCK in a position where their kids HAVE to go here.

Teacher do not care for student with special needs. If your child is behind a little forget about them begin care for here. The teachers and admin care less and they MAKE IT CLEAR the us the parent I know FIRST hand..

This is a wonderful school. They reward the kids that work hard, and they have a strong school spirit. Their is a new assistant principal which I am not at all happy with, the kids don't like her, and she is petty. However, the good news is that she is not the principal. If you are moving and this is your new school, rest easy, it's a nice place to learn.
