My son has been at PCCL for the last 3.5 years. We have really loved how individualized the attention is and how each kid can learn at a pace that challenges them and keeps them excited about learning. I have truly watched my son grow in areas he was struggling in and absolutely thrive in areas of interest. Next year he will be entering high school and we know that he is not only ready to move into the higher grades, but is still excited to learn.
PCCL is the best school for gifted children. The atmosphere is nuturing while allowing freedom for exploration. They truly understand the gifted child's way of viewing the world
PCCL, or 'Pickle' as the kids like to call it, has been an incredibly important discovery for all of us -- me, my wife, and especially our son who attended three schools in the last four years, none of which came close to meeting, or satisfying, his very specific needs. The phenomenal teachers at PCCL have nurtured and engaged his gifted qualities in a way no other school has been able to, while at the same time helping to support him in those areas -- emotionally and socially -- that have lagged behind his intellectual development. Our entire family is so grateful to have stumbled across this little jewel of a school. I only hope more parents -- and their kids -- are able to make the same discovery!
The caring teachers at the Pacific Center for Creative Learning actively acknowledges the importance of taking care of the emotional wellbeing of deep feeling gifted and highly gifted children while providing them with the academic challenges they crave. The intense interests and curiosity of gifted kids is welcomed and nurtured where possible. The home-school like environment allows learning to go beyond the classroom and includes many learning experiences through creative activities in the classroom and accentuated by a wonderful variety of field trips and volunteer activities. My child has benefited and I am very pleased!
