although santa paula high school has to work on some things i personally believe that it is infact a good school not only the way the school works but the beauty of the long lasting campus. but i will have to say the school does give money to the football team more than anything else i would like to see the money be given to the music program because lets be honest no matter how many times the football team practices there just not very good. especially this year. and with the new principal at hand i cant wait to see what new and exciting things come out of the school.
Santa Paula High School is an outstanding educational institutions. We have great students, talented teachers, and a wonderful staff. Our school has consistantly met our growth targets. Call the Principal at extension 2001 he will call you back!
I am appauled at the administration from the superintendent on down. Lack of call backs, no interest in students learning, only their discipline and behavior. Placing students in classes regardless of their ability, setting them up to fail. The principal needs to get around campus more and man up about the issues that are going on with lack of resources for the average student, not just the football team. Don't bother asking to be involved in the school site counsel, they will never cal or allow parents to get involved in anything that has to do with how the school runs, except fund raisers for the football team. Saturday School is a joke.
More like jail than school - overcrowded, not enough books
Overcrowded classrooms, bathrooms not working, rain through ceilings. No call backs from administartion or district.
Problem with 'bullying' from other students, not taken seriously by school. No support for any of the arts programs, all football! Presumes all kids are college prep - no allowance for those that aren't. Poor call back from administrators, especially superintendent.
Girls bathrooms closed: only 5 stalls available for entire campus. Security guards are unfriendly. Cafeteria runs out of food and closes windows. Superitendent does not care about school, becomes punitive towards teachers who complain. I liked the accelerated reading program, but in general the school struggles with basic literacy. Most of the money goes to the football team.
