Village Charter Academy
Develops empathy: Strongly disagree

Looking for a school where you as a parent can be a positive part of your child's education? Steer clear of this one. Education is at the bottom rung, and parents are valued only for lifting heavy furniture and donating, donating, donating. You will never be welcomed at least in the primary classroom, where the ancient dictator there actually blocks the doorway and forces the children to hug her before they can enter (but parents are blocked).

Trying to choose a school where you can be a positive part of your child's education? Steer clear of this one...you will not be welcome in the classroom (at least by the primary "teacher," who actually blocks the doorway. Your only value as a parent will be lifting heavy furniture and donating, donating, donating.

This school is as bureaucratic as they come. They seem only to care about funding, not about students' education. Their focus is the financial success of the school as its own entity, and not the success of the students. Parents are constantly hounded for donations. The hypocrisy is bizarre. The administrator and kinder teacher, on staff far too long, abuse their power in the worst way. Students' needs are not met, parents' concerns go ignored. Getting out was a huge relief! If you have the funds this school will demand, choose a school like St. Rose which will actually educate your child.
