A great school with an amazing staff. I would have to say that children are treated fairly and that money and volunteering do not get you what you want (according to another review). You cannot "buy" your way into classrooms or programs through volunteering or donations. Yes some teachers have their rules and are strict when it comes to classroom behavior, but if anyone took a minute to really look at the number of students in a classroom nowadays and what these teachers have to teach, you would understand why. Two of my children have actually had a teacher mention in a previous review and they both had a great experience.

Both my children are enrolled at Santa Clarita and love the teachers and staff they are friendly and caring. The school is one of the oldest and smallest in the area. The teachers truly care about the kids education. I have to say Mrs Fannon and Mrs Ramsey both have been wonderful teachers to my kids. They were previuosly enrolled at Helmers and the staff there were rude and felt at times they were discriminating and have favoritism aging other children.

This school is small and old with mostly very, very good teachers. Most of the teachers are dedicated and hard working and excellent role models to the students. Parents and school administration have a tight knit relationship. The school maintence needs extra work though as age is showing in the entire school and it's surroundings.

I just love the faculty and staff. However, this school could use many structural improvements as it is rather old and sits on a very busy intersection.

This is an outstanding school! The teachers are beyond wonderful, and they are completely dedicated to their craft of educating our child. As partners in the education of our child, we acknowledge the fact that we are the primary agents of instruction. Nevertheless, the teachers at Santa Clarita always go above and beyond to ensure that he receives an exemplary education in a nurturing and supportive milieu. Thanks, Santa Clarita... you have made a tremendously positive impact in the life of our little boy!

Santa Clarita Elementary School is a wonderful school with equally wonderful and extremely dedicated teachers and a very caring administration. Even when faced with situations that are not always positive, the principal always maintains the most professional and graceful attitude. The students and parents should both feel extremely privileged to be a part of such an exceptional learning environment.

Upon much research based on statistics, we chose to move to this area mainly due to community and schools. We found the leadership at the school, the administration and the attitude to be less than rewarding for our children. The Principal 'caved' to what parents wanted instead of what was best for the kids. We have a gifted child whom the teacher did not think it was important to challenge him outside of what the class was doing although we were assured the GATE program was in place. If a child is learning disabled they have every opportunity with many $$$ to back them. It is not a child's fault if they are born one way or another and should be taught accordingly. We are glad to have moved from this facad of a school.
