Wow! Imagine a school that is diverse and engaging that provides a great education with teachers AND parents that care This may be the ultimate success story, especially in a School District that has failed kids for years. Willow Creek Academy is really an amazing place and we are lucky to have found it for our kids....and it get's better every year with more and more involved parents.

My daughters began school at Willow Creek last year and the teachers, Head of School and the academic program far exceeded my expectations, and were comparable, if not better, than the Marin private school from which we transferred. Communication about my childrens' progress and activities was constant and the artwork and other projects that came home were imaginative and thoughtful. In addition, the parents I've met are warm and friendly, and truly care about the school, which is shown by the significant amounts of time they devote to the school (voluntarily), despite their full time jobs and other committments. We are thrilled to have such a wonderful (free) K-8 school in Sausalito and look forward to many amazing years to come!

My son started going to this school in the Kindergarten and I felt like he was in a very strict boot camp. Then the next year when he was in the 1st grade the teacher was even more stricter my son know longer liked school or his teacher, because he said she didn't like him and she was to mean. Also, they need a better playground and more outside activities for the kids to play with, computers for 1st graders, school bus for trips, and a cafeteria to eat their lunches instead of them eating lunchesin their classroom or outside on dirty benches.

This school is Marin County's hidden gem ... a wonderful, warm, inclusive community, a beautiful campus and garden, terrific 'learning inside and out' programs, a new Spanish language program, arts and music interwoven with the core curriculum and -- unlike most Marin County schools -- incredible diversity. I moved to Sausalito because of this school and the people who are running it and the school keeps exceeding my expectations.

My son just started Kindergarten here. We are very pleased with the school, and the teacher. Super involved parents, great resources and a free after school program with sports academy and ambitious art programs. Also has a very active garden group and focus on environment and organic issues.

Willow Creek provides an outstanding education for my son. The teaching staff is talented, committed, and energetic. Each year he has been presented with challenging and interesting lessons; even the weakest teacher my son has had (and she's no longer there!) was very good. The school has extra-curricular activities such as an incredible music teacher, quality PE coach, and environmental education. The student body is diverse--ethnically, racially, and socio-economically. I value the fact my son's friends run the gamut of backgrounds and upbringings.

school is outstanding and provides extra help where needed. Works with kids to find a way to excite them about learning. Lots or encouragement to be creative. Divesity is also great!
