A perfect fit for our family... REACH School has an excellent program which focuses on the whole child. The Director, Goldie Curry, and teachers strive to personify the 4 R's (personal responsibility, respect for self and others, resourcefulness and responsiveness). The students are encouraged to step up and really participate in their education. With a strong parent volunteer community the students get to enjoy many hands on learning experiences.

This school is a great option for families in Sebastopol who are looking for an alternative to public school, but aren't going the Waldorf route. They offer * a project based curriculum, * solid teachers, * a positive discipline system emphasizing self-awareness, respect and responsibility, * restorative justice circles for student and community conflicts, * a growing music program and * a fun club program where students have opportunities like fencing, cooking, art, etc once a week. The school is now at the Pinecrest campus and that has been a great change - my child feels safer physically and emotionally. Overall my child is very happy here!
