I could not imagine my daughter going to any other school. Every teacher my daughter has had has helped her thrive as a student. I love the opportunities for parents to be as involved as possible with their child's education. We have been nothing but pleased with the education that our child has received.
My son attends Park Side School, and I would NOT send him anywhere else!!!! It is rather disturbing that someone would write a review of this school stating some crazy notion that "bullies would not be disciplined and no apology would ever be made." What is even more disturbing is the statement regarding teachers and the principal turning a blind eye to the situation. As a parent , I have to say that this individual and the families they represent, have not spent time in this school because this is the most bold faced lie I have ever heard! I have been a volunteer at this school for almost 3 years, and i can safely say that the ENTIRE staff gives 110% to these children to ensure their safety, happiness, and most of all, a well rounded educational program. WAY TO GO PARKSIDE!
My son went to Park Side School and loved it! All of his teachers were great and very dedicated. They work hard to make an exciting learning experience which includes art, music and a lot of science.
As a weekly parent volunteer I am on campus and have gotten to know the staff and students at Park Side over the past 3 years. I can honestly say that I am proud to be part of a diverse community where not only academics, but social and emotional development is part of the daily curriculum. My children have thrived while part of this educational program.
Beware of bullies. The bullies will not be disciplined and no apology will ever be made. If you send your child to this school, you are asking them to endure a social environment in which the principal and teachers turn a blind eye to bullies and do not consider it really a problem. We write this on behalf of five families that will not go back next year.
My granddaughter attends Kindergarten there and loves it. The teachers and aides are very nice and there is a great before and after school program called Castle
This school is excellent. The new I.B. program is incredible. Very hands on and exciting for the children. The teachers are very dedicated. Parent help is really appreciated.
My son used to go to this school before we made a wrong move to different part of the state. Great principal who has only been there for a few months but knows most if not all the student's names. My son's teacher was superb-just perfect in the way she teaches, cares for each child not only academically but as a person and that's something you can't find in bigger school where they care only about academic excellence.
Teachers are extremely dedicated, kids in general are not as 'street wise' as some of the other schools and are more laid back, RSP program (special ed) is superb!
The very basic in education, new principal - not as effective as the previous one. No music, art or sports offered. Not a 'feel good' school. Teachers appear unhappy, playground is sparse, have great PTA but few parents support it.
