This school is amazing in what it accomplishes with its students. the school treats every kid with respect and provides, overall, a good solid education. With a few exceptions, the teachers are fantastic. Very high standards for learning and the test scores show improvemnet every year.

This school faces enormous challenges, but manages to provide a high quality of education. Very high poverty, high minority, but very qualified, caring teachers. My kids couldn't do much better.

The quality of academics at this school prohibited my child from learning. He needed advanced courses that would challenge him and this level of education was not offered. The marching band was good, but in some ways it too held my child back with his musical ability, he plays more than one instrument and was not given the opportunity to play multiple instruments. The 8th grade education that was being offered was what my son had learned in the 6th and 7th grade. The level that parents are allowed to be involved is very minimal.
