My children attended CVHS graduating in 2000 and 2003. I personally think CV is a great school. What I observed was caring teachers who took an interest in my children's education. I sincerely appreciate that. My son played football and my daughter played softball and volleyball throughout the years they attended. The school spirit was always there (even with our losing football season)! We did give it our best and yes CV did go on to win after my kids graduated but I was still very proud of them! Great school for anyone that wants good teachers and the small hometown feeling that comes with it.

The acedimc programs are good. Music is available but the adminstration does not keep the good music teachers. Sport are good at cvhs and are always getting better. Extracurricular activites are avilable but there is little participation from teachers and students. Parental involvment is great the cvhs boosters helps out a lot with sports teams hotel and other fees when they go out to town.

I am a former student and I think Central Valley was an excellent experience. The spanish program under Marilyn Reit is phonomenal. I was able to begin at a four year university as a junior! Even though I am in college, I learned more in my high school classes than I learn in some classes in college!

Central Valley is a great high school. Its small population allows a friendlier atmosphere than area high schools. Most of the kids know and interact with one another. The social scene at CV is, for the most part, welcoming. Everyone knows everyone. Teachers still remember and say hello when they pass their students of years ago. It's easy to build a trusting relationship with most of the teachers, making it easy for students to ask about college and other school related issues. With CV's many clubs and sports, it's easy for any student to fit right in. The athletes and club members are always open to new people and ready to accept everyone.

As a CV graduate, I always knew the school was wonderful, but it now enjoys some of the strongest community and parental support in the northstate. Two of my children have graduated with the third attending for her second year. Outstanding teachers like Mr. Houtman and Mr. Allred make a positive difference in children's lives and futures.
