This school is proud to educate any Jewish child. The children receive a superior secular and Judaic education.
Great school for everyone. Helps you grow, and prepares you for high school
i like this school a lot i feel i have learned many life lessons there that i can take with me througout my life. emek prepared me for life i think. emek also has amazing trips that brought the students together and gave us great role models though i loved emek i think it is not staying as strong as it was when it began and up until recent years there new princepal i believe is not staying to the high standards it has strived for us to learn to keep us to be religous jews who have a great love for the torah now i'm in highschool and i still think back to the amazing times i had in emek.
By the time I enrolled my third child in school I realize that there is no perfect school. Your child's educational experience depends on so many variables: teacher, classmates, proximity to the house etc. I switched my daughter to Emek because I believe the values at the school were more in tune to our family lifestyle. Parents play a strong role in the morale of the school. The PTA is very active. the teachers are supportive and the ducation is differentiated to meet the different learning styles of different children. My daughter was not thrilled about the swicth--what adolescent likes dramatic change? But after a year she is settled, focused and centered. We are looking forward to a smooth transition to high school thanks to her quality education Emek has provided.
It is a great school, but they need to focus more on education than that of keeping the boys and girls separated, and maybe, just maybe the students could show their full potential.
In my Opinion: I would very highly recommend this school! There is daily involvement with the faculty, parents and students on the part of the administration, and the administration really cares, listens and responds! In addition to the Secular and the Judaic aspects of the students' education being stressed, each student's 'character' growth is tantamount, in Emek's loving and caring environment. Most of the teachers and administrators are top-notch, and from the PTA to the Parent Advisory Committee, there is regular and frequent parent involvement. There are many wonderful extracurricular activities as well, ranging from trips to the Zoo sleepover, and from all sorts of sports to the chess tournament. There is way too much about this school than fits in this comment block, so my recommendation is to see the school for yourself, so you'll see that what I've written is only a small bit of the positive information that is Emek!
