Sonoma Charter School teaches truth, growth, respect and honesty and incorporates these values in all grades and what they are learning in the classroom. Learning is made fun. There is strong partnership between the teachers and the parents. Each child is given a sense of individuality while also fostering family and community involvement. It is a happy and safe place for the kids to learn. I have a 4th grader and a 1st grader and both always look forward to going to school.

small, warm, connected, good values, positive learning environment, good parent interaction, good teachers, strong community links
I could not be happier at Sonoma Charter School. My child is in 4th grade, and has been going to the school since K. An unbelievable director, excellent communication between teachers, and between parents and teachers, teachers who genuinely care about our children offering them a first rate education, are some of the things that make this school wonderful. Children also are encouraged to work ahead if they are able, or are assisted if they need additional help. I am grateful to the parents that started this school over 10 years ago, and the administration that continues to make this a fantastic school. Volunteer support is encouraged and most parents volunteer extensively. What a great way to see first hand how your child is doing in school!
The director of this school is fantastic. It confirms the old adage that one person can make a difference. This school emphasizes the whole child.
The Sonoma Charter School is an incredible place where teacher, staff and families are dedicated to the education of the individual child. Ihave two children who have been at SCS since kindergarten and have not only received excellent academic instruction, they have also learned to show respect and responsibility to their fellow students, teachers and community. There are not many schools that are teaching more than what is required on the standardized tests and I am proud to say that the students at Sonoma Charter School get a great education, a community that is like a family and the support of this community to become participatory, inquisitive, caring individuals.
