Soquel Elementary is an exciting place for kids! With the fall off of school funding in CA, there is a real sense of community among parents coming together to ensure the music/arts programs are still functioning at full steam for every student on campus. Equally fantastic is the connected and active environment present in all after school special events and parent teacher conferences. Teachers have a genuine care each student and it shows in the environment and level of communication between parent and teacher. Our special needs girl is known by name by nearly every teacher/administrator on campus which shows the connected feeling between student and staff.
We've been at Soquel for four years and have gotten to know many of the teachers and parents well. A strong sense of community and camaraderie among the parents and also among the staff is what makes this school a cut above. My kids' teachers have always gone above and beyond the call of duty.
My grandchildren go to Soquel Elementary School and love it very much. The teachers are all wonderful. So is the Principal.
Soquel Elementary School is a California Distinguished school. Not only are the teachers outstanding, so are the parents! This school has so much to offer in terms of connecting with the school and other parents, as well as the community. A school is only as great as the teachers, students, and parents combined. The programs offered are over-the-top.
I am very impressed with my daughter's teacher at Soquel Elementary! My daughter comes home excited about what they are doing in the classroom and on science excursions, and her teacher's enthusiasm and ability to make what they are learning come to life is exceptional. Truly a great school!
This is a great school, the entire school is built on cooperation between the teachers. They teach the core classes but switch to give some variety to the kids. Everybody works together. I was told 'Oh the public schools are terrible' but this is the greatest school the upper grades get together with the kindgergarteners and do things, what a great thing to help a younger child learn. And all the kids love having a 'little buddy'.
