The school had a major loss this year, With many staff members being replaced the school is not what it used to be. The counterparts are not quite up to par. Including but not limited to the principle, several teachers, and a few other things. The school is a shell of its former self. It's not a place I would call home any longer.

I've read previous posts about 'to much work, ISS, disciplinary problems, etc'. I'm gonna have to agree with most of those statements. The workload isn't to bad, it only gets bad if you fall behind. They do give out ISS a little to often. It can be from having the wrong type of shoes on, or the teacher's unwillingness to have patience with the students so they just send them to the office. I've graduated from there and I've gotten ISS a good amount of times.. usually for irrational reasons. The school has it's strong points, and it also has it's weak points. Personally, I will never send my children there. I don't want them to deal with the things I had to deal with when I attended IBML.

As a parent I am glad to have my student attend this school.. I have read previous posts about too much work and the school is too strict.. that to me just sounds like whinning from some student that doesn't really want to work for an education.. ISS (in school suspension) is meant for students who do not follow rules such as.. dress code or being disruptive in class.. you don't just get it for anything.. I believe this school is very structured and only meant for structured students who are willing to apply themselves to get what they want out of school..not meant for students that are not serious about education...I would highly recommend this school to anyone with a serious and positive attitude about education..

I have a student at IBML and must say that this school is by far the best. Being that IBML is an A-G school, they encourage their students, yes, to attend college in which their students have been accepted to CSU and UC not only Humphreys College. Each year IBML improves by adding tutoring, music, dance, journalism and mock trial. It is no fault of the school that they must follow District guidelines; they are part of SUSD which means you will find standardized testing. Please as parents instead of complaining let's get involved with our child's schooling and make improvements together. I am part of the SSC and welcome more parents.

If this school and district could get it together it might be pretty good. Every year there's a new principal and the gossips in the office gotta go. My student keeps getting told she can earn college credits, but they are only good if she attends Humphries. Get a principal with some experience and keep them!!

I currently attend the charter highschool known as IBML or Institute of Business Management and Law, I find that, yes, we are indeed at the top of the pile within the Stockton Unified School District however I do not find that this is something to truly brag about considering how minimal our education is within the district. Our school has become, not a place of learning but one of prepping for standardized tests, and the like. It is not about learning but merely memorization. Much of the staff is highly focused on DRESSCODE, I understand that this is part of what makes us 'better' than a normal SUSD HS however, when that becomes the major component of arguement, instead of why a theory was created or disproved or how x=5i its not worth the effort any longer.

I am currently a student at IBML and I know for a fact that IBML is one of the Greatest schools in ALL of SUSD! Its first few years the school did have a rough start, but now, there is no way that the reviews I have read could be current. IBML's environment is such a positively charged one. The vast majority of students at IBML are academics based, and have so much fun in there classes as well as the normal day to day activites. I dont want IBML's reputation to be falsified with these other reviews with people calling it a horrible school. It is by far, as I have previously stated, one of the BEST schools in all of SUSD.
